Now that everybody on Capitol Hill has weighed in on the Redskins name controversy, the men and women elected to represent the people have moved on to a new sports-related target: the NFL and Ravens running back Ray Rice.

U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) sent letters to commissioner Roger Goodell calling for Rice to face a harsher punishment beyond the two-game suspension handed down by the league and considered too lenient by many critics.

Well, this Senate has nothing else to do since Dingy Harry won’t let any of the 300+ House bills on his desk come up for a vote. And Obama calls the House “obstructionist.

Has he been convicted yet in Court? Just asking.

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Being punished for the same infraction a second time is a violation of star jeopardy (consult the professional athlete handbook).

U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) sent letters to commissioner Roger Goodell...

At least, Sen. Juan McCain avoided the temptation to stick his nose into it...

It is not football-related. It involves his wife.

From a few weeks ago:

Janay Rice didn't elaborate on the role she played, although a February court summons stated that she tried to hit her husband, who then knocked her unconscious.

Add to that Stephen A. Smith being suspended from ESPN.

And yet Dana Jacobsen of ESPN cursing Jesus didn’t upset some as much as this.

Totally aside from the incident and the punishment, which I think was not enough, I hate it when politicians stick their ugly noses into these things. The politicians should stick it where the sun don't shine.

These Democratic Senators are racists. They should be calling for Goodell to resign for handing down such a weak punishments after seeing the video. Always the black guy, not the white guy.
