No. I’d take it with me- especially to refresh my makeup since there were guys I wanted to impress. All most ALL would do this!
One reason people are contractors is that they have a ‘bad’ employment history, or criminal background and can’t get hired for a full time position.
Why contractors aren’t scrutinized as much, or more than new hires is beyond me.
I never leave my bag unless it’s with friends/family..very suspicious.
There's an old joke about a company which, at the end of the hiring process asks the candidate to take an unsealed confidential envelope to a different office on the bottom floor. 9 candidates do as asked, and then are told “thank you, we'll call you”
The 10th looks in it and reads “Congratulations, you are just the sort of person we are looking for, report to HR on the 4th floor to fill out your employment paperwork” :-)

My mum and dad called them pommies for different reasons, which you found out already. Our mobs used the unrecognized ones because of having to deal with them again and again. The stuffy lot of them.
My wife goes apesh#t if anyone sets a purse on a kitchen counter. The amount of bacteria and nasty germs on the bottom of a purse is sickening.
One of my concerns about hiring her would be her poor hygiene habits.

We then started discussing our initial thoughts and concerns about our meeting with her. A while later she came back to rejoin us, and later on in the week, she sent us an email discussing possible objections we might have to hiring her.
The guy that I met with is convinced that she left a recorder inside her purse and and then put the purse in front of us to capture our conversation. He says "a woman would never leave her purse on the table with some guys she just met! She was recording us!"
Well, DUH!!!
This was probably her 2,357th interview with sub-human illiterate scumbags, 99.9999% of whom were academically and otherwise totally unqualified to either interview for their own positions, or hold any enty-level position in their own departments, and will never in this lifetime be qualified to assess the experience and capabilities of anyone they interviewed.
That is just how it is and has been in this declining, post-American job market. I don't blame her a bit for recording the scumbags.

I would worry about someone like that that wanted to trap you in some sexual harassment situation (not that you would step over the line but guys say stuff, just like women do).

I’m with you. VERY suspicious. Women ALWAYS take their purse with them to a public restroom, for a whole lot of reasons.
