The National EAS test was done on Nov. 9, 2011. It was, for all intents and purposes, a complete disaster. If you want to see how we on FR followed it, here's the thread from the test...

Do I think they've made improvements to the system since? Yes...I think. It does normally take 10 minutes from the president's request until the Primary Entry Point stations get it and disseminate the message to the nation, plus however many minutes it takes to get it passed down the chain.
