Painful topic
after a Cup Finals appearance in 02, a Cup title in 06, and another Eastern Finals in 09 - (astonishing success for a small market franchise) the Hurricanes have not seen the playoffs in many moons.
And there is nothing like playoff hockey

Thanks airborne...Pens ran away with the Conference this year...
These guys have been an enigma pretty much all year...

Check the NBC website(s).
NBC affiliates might be streaming these.
They did stream the season ender for Dallas-Phoenix.
The website(s) may require you to log in via your cable provider.

GO HAWKS !!!!
The Blues are pretty beat up & unless everybody they have hurt heals up in a hurry, it may be another quick exit for the Blues.

Blues? Bruins? The NHL Playoffs are so unpredictable. Get someone hot between the pipes and he can carry your team a long way. Whatever happened to Jean Sebastian Giguere?

I think the Stars have a real chance to beat the Ducks.

I would like to see another Pens and Flyers series like the one in 2012 when they beat the crap out of each other, and momentum and scoring bounced back and forth.
that was a playoff series for the ages.

I don’t like seeing Detroit in the Eastern Divisions even if geographically, that is their area.

Roger on the go Hawks. It will be really tough, but we can always hope for the best. I did not think they had a snow balls chance last year, and look what happened. Hopefully Toews and Kane will be rested. I do not see how they can keep Morin out of the line up now.

Red Wings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have a tough opponent, although I don’t think Boston is too happy about it either. This years Wings are younger, faster and not your typical 8 seed team....and they’ve been in playoff mode for weeks trying to qualify.
This will be fun to watch.

We’re really happy about it! Every year the Wings have to travel back and forth from Detroit and LA/San Jose/Anaheim/etc...brutal. For the fans, staying up until 1am+ during the week didn’t work well, this is much better.
...and I like the idea of playing an old rival in the SCF :)
