How well I remember the rules of engagement that lead to the attack on the U.S.S Cole....

NO Loaded weapons allowed on board...

Under Billy Clintoon.

Thanks!

How many shootings on military bases happened before that? I would like to know Clintoons reason for doing that. If there were no shootings beforehand, then Clinton deliberately put our troops in harms way. Also why the hell didn’t Bush rescind that order?

some of the regular office personal (702X0) on Air Force bases in Thailand during Nam were not issued guns or helmets until the snipers came through the perimeter..

They ran across the compound to the latrine hoping a sniper wouldn’t shoot them..

but for the combat soldiers to not have a gun is treason..

You know, if our Elected Officials would just READ the Constitution and live WITHIN its parameters, things would be SO much simpler.

I’m pretty sure the main job of government is to protect us from enemies both FOREIGN and DOMESTIC, not micro-manage every aspect of our lives! Epic FAIL.

Oh, details, details. So many laws, so many regulations, who can possibly be expected to keep up with them all? May as well just enforce them selectively. *Rolleyes*

Prayers up for the dead and their families. I’m pretty sure the wives and families on Ft. Hood have pretty much HAD it. I’m an Army Vet, and I’d be resigning and packing my bags at this point. So glad I’m no longer serving. It was bad ENOUGH under Clinton!

OK. I’m done, LOL!

“How did he get onto a military base when the DRUDGE headline the past week kept declaring ‘Govt seeking homicidal guy by the name of Lopez before he can kill a bunch of people?’”

Right there you have the proof that people at the top levels of the US Government knew that Lopez was going to kill and those people let him on Ft. Hood to kill.

Who did he target?

"This is a MILITARY BASE! There are no weapons allowed here!"

Which is like saying "This is a bowling alley! There are no bowling balls allowed here!"

This is how insane the Marxist fascists have made things in this country. First off they are alerting the enemy that US Military bases are disarmed. 2nd, it's not like Military bases have never been attacked before.

So what they are doing is deliberately putting our troops in harms way which once again is TREASON!

The only thing that stops a bad person with a gun is . . .

Liberals have no clue what the answer might be. They are still wondering what went wrong that the shooter had a gun even though military bases are gun-free zones.

It has been suggested that this is a false flag to have a reason to take away vets guns.

arizona

Interesting choice of graphic. Not only is Hawaii an extremely anti-gun state, the park service doesn't allow guns or even small packs on the site.

“Among President Clinton’s first acts upon taking office in 1993 was to disarm U.S. soldiers on military bases. In March 1993, the Army imposed regulations forbidding military personnel from carrying their personal firearms and making it almost impossible for commanders to issue firearms to soldiers in the U.S. for personal protection. For the most part, only military police regularly carry firearms on base, and their presence is stretched thin by high demand for MPs in war zones.”

I was in from '89 to '94, and those were the rules when I was in, not just starting in '93.

I wonder if this will be called work place violence, so as not to have to pay survivors any benefits

Whoops, that should be from ‘87 to ‘94, not ‘89. Of course, when I was stationed in Korea for two years, we were under a Status of Forces Agreement that basically disarmed us anyway.

Just heard on the radio from a caller that they have a bomb scare now at Ft. Hood as well. Not sure but caller was a concerned father who drove down to see if he kids who live nearby are safe so I tended to believe him.

My son has a total of 24 months in a forward combat area (Yusufiyah, Iraq; Camp Joyce, Korengal Valley, Afghanistan). He returned from both deployments with little changes to his functioning. The only change I’ve seen is an intolerance towards stupidity from government and military officials.

Since psychotic lunatics, hellbend on killing, disregard laws... the solution would be to make more laws that make all of their intended victims defenseless.

Wait... what?

The ruling by the 9th Jerket Court of Slammiels, that conceal/carry laws in California and Hawaii are too strict, has resulted in Hawaii changing the law to a "Shall Issue" state, instead of a "May Issue" state.

Our military, these brave men and women who go into battle in sh*thole countries and die for OUR freedom were told to “Shelter in place” I could not believe what I was hearing..they should be ARMED! and what ended all this, a brave woman who was ARMED confronted the coward who ended up offing himself

Exactly the point I was making yesterday..was in Israel last year for my sisters wedding, saw soldiers walking around on the street, both male and female, ALL ARMED..it was no big deal, no one made a fuss, but here in America, we have become wussified, “OMG A GUN A GUN” please, in Israel its the norm, saw about four Israeli soldiers in the bathroom when I went to the Wall just standing around, talking, with their guns hanging off their shoulders, it was no big deal, they would NEVER be told to hide or run, they would be told to FIGHT
