Now if there's a phone call where the pilot says "release Anwar or else" then maybe I'll bite.
This is possible, but where is the plane..did he crash it into the Indian Ocean, or did he take it somewhere holding hostages til he gets what he wants..and why no demands, no one has heard from either of the pilots or anyone else on board since the plane disappeared

Generally folks committing acts of terror are making a statement. This makes little sense if it remains a mystery.
This sounds too much like Clinton’s attempt to link the GOP to the Oklahoma City bombing. The government is trying to divert attention from what the media has framed (unfairly) as its incompetent handling of the incident. I guess Malaysian pols figure - if you’re getting smeared, why not share the wealth with the opposition?
