Several stunning images captured by a Minnesota photographer illustrate just how cold it is at Lake Superior.
The pictures taken by Andrew Krueger showed large sheets of ice piled up along the shore as temperatures remained below freezing this week.
Scientists from the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory said ice coverage was at its highest percentage in 35 years, according to USA Today.
“Persistent cold temperatures in the Midwest this winter have almost completely frozen over many of the Great Lakes,” the lab reportedly said in a press release.

Well obviously the polar vortex caused by global warming caused this. You deniers need to just leave the planet. Cuz...yea see? If you stopped polluting then there would be no global warming and so there would be no ice on the shores and freezing. Cuz...Squirell!

I was up on the North Shore at the end of January and it was wide open then. But it was steaming like a young man’s dreams.

That can not be ice, mac daddy we are in danger of gobal warming and we are all going to roast to death and mac daddy would not lie.
God has a wicked sense of humor. Ever notice everywhere Gore travels, temps often drop dramatically?
Almost makes me wish he’d visit us in AZ around August. But I’d rather deal with the 130 temps. Less miserable.
And the Kool-Aid drinkers up here are still blaming it on global warming.
Just got out of a teacher traing class. Not only is it now just climate change, but it is also “ocean acidification”. The nations children are going to be submerged in this one.
