Bloomberg's Private Militia

Bloomberg's Private Militia. Former Mayor (and Czar) of New York City is starting his own private militia.

Former Czar Bloomberg lives in fear in the crime ridden NYC jungle since he lost his police protection entourage when he left office. To rectify that he has decided to spend some of his own money to create a private militia.

He has decided to encourage the 16 NYC police that previously guarded him to retire (and take their $80,000 or more yearly pensions) and come to work for him in his private militia at $150,000 or more per year. Although retired, the militia will unofficially have many of their police powers and protections along with access to automatic, semi-automatic and other SWAT type weapons.

Former Czar Bloomberg stated that his militia will save NYC millions over his lifetime.

In an unrelated item, former Police Chief Ray Kelly has requested that 6 police detectives be assigned full time to protect him during his retirement. Ray stated that he feared living in the city without the 24 hour protection. Ray added that the cost was a bargain at $120,000 per detective considering the bad publicity for the city if he was raped or publically called bad names.

The current Police Chief stated that he felt that the request was justified and the officers would be assigned to the 2,400 police regiment detailed to protect current and former elite civil servants.

NYC isn’t that crime ridden. He’s probably afraid of all the former bar owners from Queens whose businesses he killed when he banned smoking, salt & transfats. He’s got more to worry about from angry working and middle-class people than any real thugs.

Little lords ... with contingents of bodyguards and manors surrounded by moats.

Countries have revolted over less.

Bloomberg’s new security team will comprise a current lieutenant and several detectives, all with more than 20 years on the force. They will file for retirement immediately after mayor-elect Bill de Blasio is sworn in on Jan. 1, sources said.

Ironically, I imagine Bloomberg’s fate will be more as it was for the character Upson Pratt, portrayed by E.G. Marshall, in a vignette of the movie Creepshow, called “They’re Creeping Up on You!”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creepshow#.22They.27re_Creeping_Up_on_You.21.22

“The ruthless tycoon now finds himself helpless when his flat becomes overrun by countless hordes of aggressive multi-sized cockroaches—perhaps symbolizing the revenge of all the “little people” he has spent his entire life stepping on. As the cockroaches begin to overrun him, he locks himself inside a panic room, only to find the cockroaches have already infested the room as well. With no way to escape, the roaches swarm on him, causing Pratt to suffer a fatal heart attack. Immediately afterwards, electricity returns to the building, revealing Pratt’s corpse in the panic room, and not a cockroach in sight. However, Pratt’s body soon begins to contort, and the roaches grotesquely burst out of his mouth and body, enveloping the panic room.”

That’s cool!

The evil bastards who are destroying us think they’re immune to what they’re doing. They are not.

Private armies are against Federal law. Not that Federal law applies to Democrats. I’m just pointing it out.

Bloomberg doesn’t need a CCW permit. He just hires people who do. The fact that Bloomberg doesn’t need the permit is proof that no other civilians needs one either. Got it?

More like SS leaders with their own private military units.
Himmler had the SS....Goering had the Luftwaffe panzer units.
The funny thing is that they don’t see the irony.

Meanwhile the new mayor of Pittsburgh disbanded his bodyguard team. The last mayor had round the clock police protection with some making 60 grand in OT alone.
The mayor here may be a flaming lefty but at least he isn’t like those douche bags

Has anyone some sources on how many retired mayors get round the clock protection?
