Small was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer and faces a $2,500 fine and up to 10 years in prison. He was also charged with disturbing a school operation, which carries an additional $2,500 and up to six months in jail.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

Ahhh...the old “write your questions on paper and maybe we’ll answer it” routine. Worthless hacks.

HOME SCHOOL
Common Core is bovine excrement.......it is no different than asking an elephant to climb a tree and when they can not, telling them they are stupid.

I see, the cop was “just following orders.”

I’m seeing a “police officer” getting increasingly aggressive and hostile to a perfectly polite and non confrontational citizen exercising his constitutional rights to petition his government.

And being roughed up in the process by a thug with badge.

All documented on film.

The judge is not going to like this, nor is the School Board or the the thug (if he is off duty he is personally responsible for his actions) going to the like sitting through depositions and court dates defending themselves against the law suit this guy should rightfully file.

Seems reasonable for a Soviet Republic ... up to 10 years in the Gulag though seems a little stiff.

Control the narrative, control the questions, control the language, control the questioners.

Yes the standard “assaulting a police officer” charge that they throw at civilians when the cop was in the wrong in the first place. Throw in a “disturbing a school operation” (WTF) charge and you get a nice double trouble charge.

They’ll offer him a disturbing the peace plea bargain, and he’ll probably take it instead of risking a jury finding him guilty. 1 or 2 year probation, no time served, and the underling prosecutor gets to pad his or her conviction rate.

He’ll still pay court costs, lawyer fees, and criminal charges on his record causeing problems with background checks.

All for speaking his mind and questioning the .gov educational system.

First Amendment to the US Constitution:

Congress shall make no law . . . abridging . . . the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Article 13 of the Maryland Constitution:

That every man hath a right to petition the Legislature for the redress of grievances in a peaceable and orderly manner.

This event shows the value of videotaping public events. The video will be exhibit A in the motion for dismissal of the charges.

And the video performs an important public function - showing how Democratic politicians are unwilling to listen to their fellow parents, taxpayers, and citizens, but would rather bring force to bear upon them.

It will make a great campaign ad.

Common Core has set scripts that the teachers are supposed to read to their students.

The scripts that the teachers are given they cannot see previous to "reading" from them.

When they are finished with that script they hand it in and get another script.

No teacher can see a future script.

No parent can see the scripts.

Teachers become readers rather than teachers.

Why go through four plus years of education when all you end up doing is reading from a script?

An untrained janitor could do that much.

At our meetings, you have to be “put on the agenda” to speak... Accept that if you work you have to call during office hours a certain office number that hardly ever picks up to be put on the agenda... Oh, and if they bring up something important at the meeting... Well you're not on the agenda so you can't say anything!

Although I will say most of the HS and Jr high teachers hate common core... But say nothing about it except to explain a low grade “it's harder due to the new common core curriculum...”

Oldest is out of Algebra, but has been told by friends that aren't they're covering two units a week, where it used to be 1 unit every two weeks. I don't know what they are calling a unit but they're trying to touch (touch not learn) everything that might be on the new NYS Regents. So a lot more will fail because some smart kids are already falling behind and the teacher says she can't slow down!

This, along with the college student in California having his free speech silenced, is proof that the shackles are being hammered shut, much more quickly than most would believe.

Dear Lord, please share Your strength.

I’ve written about this before here at FR. Personal observation. It’s NOT uncommon for this practice at Liberal townhall meetings, and council meetings we’ve (wife, and myself) attended. And now this...I believe it. We’ve seen it happen, and experienced the wrath of the Liberals if they don’t get their way. They believe once elected they are absolute rulers.
