Like king hussein needs any help creating more dissension amongst our diverse population. But then again I'm pretty sure that the movie will be truthful and accurate. Just like "Roots" was.

Not gonna torment my soul. My family was in Germany until well after the Civil War.

Why is it that only Dem's make movies and own media? Mean while our rich Repub’s are burning the phones calling their congressmen to get amnesty. The more we lowered their taxes the more liberal the upper class has become and the more feckless the remaining upper class GOPers become.Maybe we should help the Dem's raise taxes on them all! It would serve them right.

One of my ancestors was killed at Charleston SC after seizing the Battle Flag of the 54th North Carolina. Earned the MOH. No torment here either. Next time put up a better fight against Muslim Slave traders and Zulus.

Just READING about the movie has my soul tormented. I’ll need to drink to forget.

Even though my ancestors owned slaves, I personally did not. So it won’t “torture” my soul either.

And any economic benefit from slavery, well over 160 years ago, was wiped out when my great-grandfather a—college-educated professional— lost nearly everything during the Great Depression.

Can I be tormented about the way we took the Southwest from Mexico, instead? Better music and food!

The Right allowed themselves to be pushed out of culture. They didn’t put up any fight whatsoever. The only one who has tried are the Koch Brothers.

My great-grandparents came to America around 1900. This movie took place before that time frame.
Anyway, who wants to watch another exaggerated, dramatic Hollywood attack on America?

A wound whose scab keeps getting ripped off will never heal.

Which is the point, I think, of the race pimps.

None of my forebears came to North America until the 1880s either.

WGAS? Slavery was a fact of life in the world up until about two hundred years ago (and still is in de facto practice in the Middle East and Africa). BTW, who worked hardest to outlaw and abolish slavery? WHITE CHRISTIANS!

Bring on the chips and salsa. Maybe have a cinquo de mayo gathering since 100 miles south of the border most Mexicans would look at you and say cinquo de what? LOL! Heck, for that matter maybe we should all return to our original geographical starting point and give the “hole” country back to the “native” Americans. Who originated in Asia. Can’t change the past even if the dems do it constantly.

Slavery, racism, and race obsession is the Democratic Party’s DNA. They are the party of slave economics, and night riders, and lynch mobs, and fire hoses.

They keep trying to re-write their history, and who can blame them. If that was the history of my party, I’d try to re-write it too.
