When I was Elementary School Age, I watched “Victory at Sea” and “The World At War” on TV. The showed WW2 without any censorship. “The World At War” shows up on the History Channel now, and I am astounded that I watched that program faithfully at the age of 9.

I polled my students to see what their teachers said in school today about 9/11. One didn’t even MENTION it. I kid you not. (Boca Raton, FL)

Pre-K kids who are at Christian schools (or attend Sunday school) know that Jesus was CRUCIFIED on a cross. How...traumatic? Children learn worldview. They need to know death, sin and grace.

I had 5 classes of English students write a 1-page essay about 9/11 today. I wanted them to outline what they knew--What happened on 9/11/2001, Where did it occur, How did it unfold, Why did the attack occur and Who attacked. I then gave them a 10 minute eyewitness report, telling them what I personally saw (the towers on fire and then falling), explaining what the approximately 300 firefighters/police/EMTs and other first responders had to physically do to get to victims and then died for their efforts, how the passengers were hijacked and forced to die in the planes aimed at the buildings, how the passengers on Flight 93, knowing they were going to die, stood up to the hijackers and thereby saved thousands of lives in D.C., how office workers in the upper floors of the WTC had to choose how they died: by being consumed by the inferno, choking on the smoke or jumping out the window, etc.

I was absolutely shocked and grieved to hear that they did not get taught much about 9/11 in jr. high school, as it was considered "offensive" to some groups, blah, blah, blah. I responded that it was offensive to ME that they remain ignorant about what happened. That it was part of American history. That it delineated a change in our lives forever, robbing us of that wonderful American quality of innocence.

One girl started to tell me that 9/11 was perpetuated on us by our government. Her "evidence" was that 2 of the black boxes of the planes were never found. I told her that she should quit reading liberal 9/11 denial websites and that the black boxes of planes are not always found, particularly when the living hell of flaming jet fuel was enough to melt the steel girders of the WTC towers. I was so incredibly angry at this hijacking of her mind by libtard deniers.

So it is true folks, take it from me in the trenches, that our schools are attempting to sweep 9/11 under the rug. And so I told the kids that George Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" and that was why it was important to know the truth about 9/11.

About 98% of the kids were absolutely mesmerized by my talk. They had never heard most of this stuff. And I have to tell you, they wrote some very beautiful, moving essays.

Today’s 6th graders were born that year so they can be told just about anything. It is up to the parents to ask and tell them the truth.

Un BLEEPING believable. I was 7 when JFK got shot and was also attending a NYC school at the time, PS 71 in daBronx. The teachers pulled no punches when they explained to us young skulls full of mush about what happened. Yeah, there was shock, some tears shed, but no crippling long term emotional or psych trauma. One reason, our principal, a “tough love” type of woman who was admired and respected by our parents and teachers and who made keeping up with current events a top priority along with the basics.

Planes don’t ‘’run’’ on ‘’gas’’. They ‘’run’’ on high octane aviation jet fuel. The reason the animals hijacked these planes is because the planes were bound for the West Coast and carried ample fuel to get them there.

Not only is the child told a lie, the lie is the DIRECT OPPOSITE of what happened.

The specific flights were chosen because the jetliners in question were carrying full loads of fuel.

If it were up to me I’d rather they were taught nothing than taught lies. Later in life it is easier to fix the ignorance (i.e. not knowing) that “un-teaching” the lies. Remember what President Reagan said (as near as I can remember): The problem is not that our liberal friends are ignorant, it’s that they know so much that isn’t so.
