And to top it off, my Dad was a navy photographer.

I grew up looking at original, unpublished, and un-retouched photos of the battle of Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and The Solomon Islands.

Not to mention a secret war against Mao that the Navy was involved with in China. Really.

I gave up as soon I heard that the Germans had bombed Pearl Harbor.

More revisionist history. Those German planes simply ran out of gas as they flew over the harbor.

I think some folks want to teach that it was more of a Reichstag than a Pearl Harbor and if they can’t do that they’ll just settle for “the planes ran out of gas” for the time being.

While searching through TV channels a couple of days ago, I came across an episode of “Family Feud.” Host: “Name a state that has many blizzards.” Contestant: “Chicago.”

Tell your niece to ask the teacher if she is a Communist.

she graduated from there 11 years ago.

The teacher called her “My Little Conservative” when she told her that her grandfather owned farmland.

A big no-no in Collectivismland

The title of the lesson actually WAS "Why was 9/11 a Modern 'Day of Infamy'?" I had to explain what infamy was, and that it was a reference to what Franklin Roosevelt said about Pearl Harbor. So, you are spot on about the analogy!

I am just infuriated that the NYC schoolkids have been fed some sort of outright lie about what 9/11 was all about. Plenty of Muslims were killed in the WTC towers from the attack, so why would naming names be "offensive"? It is nothing less than criminal that the kids were fed "libtard stew" instead of the truth.

Un BLEEPING believable. I was 7 when JFK got shot and was also attending a NYC school at the time, PS 71 in daBronx. The teachers pulled no punches when they explained to us young skulls full of mush about what happened. Yeah, there was shock, some tears shed, but no crippling long term emotional or psych trauma. One reason, our principal, a “tough love” type of woman who was admired and respected by our parents and teachers and who made keeping up with current events a top priority along with the basics.

"102 Minutes that Changed America"
Yes. We saw it. It was hard to watch at times, but it needs to be seen, especially by the "low-info" community. Hell, I remember as a kid seeing the twin towers under construction. The first date my lovely wife and I went on we spent all day looking out on the observation deck.

Planes don’t ‘’run’’ on ‘’gas’’. They ‘’run’’ on high octane aviation jet fuel. The reason the animals hijacked these planes is because the planes were bound for the West Coast and carried ample fuel to get them there.

Good God the crap these kids are being given.

I must wonder: have we forgotten? During the last presidency, the war and its progress dominated headlines and conversations throughout the country. The previous president (Bush) spoke of the progress of the war, lauding our troops, almost daily.

Under this president, the war has vanished from popular perception. He now makes occasional noise about a new spat in Syrian Arab Republic but thus far without more than incidental mention of the Islamofascist menace. Google News today lists fewer than 100 articles that even mentioned the word over the past month.

When I was a youngster in grade school, we confidently identified the Soviets (or Russians) as the enemy, associated them with the evil philosophy of communism, knew that people in the enemy land lacked freedom (although I did not appreciate yet the significance of that concept) but lived in fear, and recognized a man named Reagan as our leader in the fight against said enemy. We lauded our military as the force capable of deterring the enemy from overtaking these shores and necessary to preservation of peace and liberty. Perhaps my childhood experience was not universally shared in my generation. But we had fought that war for decades and rather suddenly prevailed in freeing much of eastern Europe from the yoke of communism.

Today, in the words of one music star of the last decade, in Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, and other fronts in this war not yet surrendered, “our brothers are dying for others who don’t even care any more.” As for liberty, even at home, it’s an anachronistic concept in the age of Obama care. None of this ignorance, however, in any way diminishes the desire of the enemy Islamofascists to prevail over us and to subjugate us as they even now attempt to subjugate more brutally the dhimmi populations of various Arab lands. Their war against us and our way of life continues. We must develop a way of life worthy of defense and defend it, or else we lose our country.

For those looking for a documentary, I recommend the one done by the Naudet brothers. They filmed the only footage of the first plane hitting WTC1. It is gritty and real.

Extremely well put. It’s like the difference between fighting a conventional army, with a well-characterized enemy recognized as such by all, and fighting a guerilla war, with ill-defined enemies that not all consider enemies. Very frustrating when you see that some are actually boring holes into the bottom of the boat rowed so valiantly by others.

As cruel as it may sound.....assassination does a great deal for a persons reputation.

About 98% of the kids were absolutely mesmerized by my talk. They had never heard most of this stuff.

Major kudos to you! Hoping you prompted some of the mis-led kids to begin thinking about facts rather than propaganda from the left media.

Not only is the child told a lie, the lie is the DIRECT OPPOSITE of what happened.

The specific flights were chosen because the jetliners in question were carrying full loads of fuel.

If it were up to me I’d rather they were taught nothing than taught lies. Later in life it is easier to fix the ignorance (i.e. not knowing) that “un-teaching” the lies. Remember what President Reagan said (as near as I can remember): The problem is not that our liberal friends are ignorant, it’s that they know so much that isn’t so.

She said “ but Grahamy, we bombed them first, it was our fault”

...upon hearing such a remark, I would have taken the youngster’s hand, firmly, but not without gentleness, and pointedly asked her where she had heard that...if she answered school, then a trip to that school would be next...and a rather taut conversation with whomever ran the place would ensue...

...perhaps that individual was not there at the time this was taught, but that wouldn’t matter...the institution taught it, and this person now ran that institution...if I received anything less than the response ‘this will be seriously looked into’, with the assurance that I would be able to check in on the progress, I would state my intention to go to the next school board hearing and publicly announce what the school in question had taught...

...assuredly, enough townspeople would be sufficiently outraged to take some action...

“I have a personal 9/11/01 story.”

My boss walked into my office at 4 P.M. looked at the other desk and asked me “Didn’t Christoffer fly to California today?”

We both got the “awshit” look and he ran off to ask the secretary who made the travel arrangements what flight my office mate was on.

He never got to CA.
