My roommate's 7 Yr old came home from school wearing red , white, and blue.
Out of curiosity, I asked her- Did she learn anything about 9/11 today?
She said yes, that her teacher told her about the planes that crashed into the buildings and blew up,
because they ran out of gas.
(Unbelievable.)
I tried to talk to my roommate about these completely made up facts that were "taught" to her daughter ,
` but, she said they "probably told the kids this because they are too young to understand what happened."
I then asked her -Did she think that it would be too hard for a child to understand that bad people did 9/11 on purpose?
She said no, but, that she's not really bothered by what the teacher said.
I further asked- Did she know what Pearl Harbor was?
She said yes, but that she didn't understand it until she was in high school.
I said OK, but, when you were in school, did any of your teachers ever tell you that Pearl Harbor was a series of boating accidents?
She said no.
I told her that I thought the teacher was wrong to give the kids false information.
Unfortunately, she didn't want to talk about it beyond that.
This is another sad example of what's going on in our education system. UGGGGhhhhh!!!!

When I was Elementary School Age, I watched “Victory at Sea” and “The World At War” on TV. The showed WW2 without any censorship. “The World At War” shows up on the History Channel now, and I am astounded that I watched that program faithfully at the age of 9.
I polled my students to see what their teachers said in school today about 9/11. One didn’t even MENTION it. I kid you not. (Boca Raton, FL)
Everyone needs to watch it and remember, again, no Narration, no Interviews, just the video of people there as it happened.
If kids can’t deal with what happened, better to not talk about it at all than to feed them crap.
Pre-K kids who are at Christian schools (or attend Sunday school) know that Jesus was CRUCIFIED on a cross. How...traumatic? Children learn worldview. They need to know death, sin and grace.
I was absolutely shocked and grieved to hear that they did not get taught much about 9/11 in jr. high school, as it was considered "offensive" to some groups, blah, blah, blah. I responded that it was offensive to ME that they remain ignorant about what happened. That it was part of American history. That it delineated a change in our lives forever, robbing us of that wonderful American quality of innocence.
One girl started to tell me that 9/11 was perpetuated on us by our government. Her "evidence" was that 2 of the black boxes of the planes were never found. I told her that she should quit reading liberal 9/11 denial websites and that the black boxes of planes are not always found, particularly when the living hell of flaming jet fuel was enough to melt the steel girders of the WTC towers. I was so incredibly angry at this hijacking of her mind by libtard deniers.
So it is true folks, take it from me in the trenches, that our schools are attempting to sweep 9/11 under the rug. And so I told the kids that George Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" and that was why it was important to know the truth about 9/11.
About 98% of the kids were absolutely mesmerized by my talk. They had never heard most of this stuff. And I have to tell you, they wrote some very beautiful, moving essays.

I watched it one year with my Father, he made a very poignant quote when it showed the Firemen racing up to get to the Towers, that probably not one of them came back out.
Today’s 6th graders were born that year so they can be told just about anything. It is up to the parents to ask and tell them the truth.

I was helping her with her homework, and part of it was learning to tell time.
Following this educators example, I should have her write any number for the answer and tell the teacher when he asks her why she got it wrong:
"Hey, it's that time somewhere in the world".
I was in a Japanese garden with my 11 year old Granddaughter and I mentionedmhow hard it wasmto square the beautynand peace of the garden with Ww iI and she looked perplexed so I told her the stories my Father told me of the bombing at Pearl, the death marches, the cruelty. She said “ but Grahamy, we bombed them first, it was our fault”
She was stunned when I gave her a history lesson and later remarked it was sad our country was going down. She has been taught this and her parents don’t even know. I was so sad.
I have a personal 9/11/01 story.
That Tuesday morning was the day the orkin guy came to the house for his monthly treatment(Florida has lots of bugs). Anyway, the Orkin guy was from pakistan. I was watching events unfold on the TV. When the second plane hit, the Orkin Guy blurted out:
“WHY DO THEY THINK THEY ARE DOING THIS FOR GOD?”
This was long before there was any speculation as to who was attacking us.
I thought that was VERY interesting.
My eyes did not leave the TV for days. I collected every newspaper clipping, piece of memorabilia, etc from those days and have them bound in several large volumes which have survived my husband’s death, the loss of my house, and a move. I KNEW in my heart that the left would suppress the story and drop it down the Memory Hole, so I saved EVERYTHING. ( I even have the VHS videotape of “The Concert For New York”)

These were 10th graders. When 9/11 happened, they were like 4 years old.
What's sad is now all they teach about WWII is Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Internment Camps, as if we were the bad guys.
