For crying out loud, that was a modest dress compared to many. Let the girl have her evening. She felt pretty and it was really not that bad. Instead someone made a national case out of it.

Dad not only approved of that dress, he apparently drove her to Canada to buy it. Amazing.

I’m sorry; but that dress does not fit that girl. When she has so much “stuff” hanging out around her underarm, that is just an ill fitting dress. It is also too low-cut for prom. Where is her mother? Did she buy this dress for her daughter?

Yes. She did. By going and whining to the press.

Hussy?
Did I fall asleep and we are back in 1940?
Non-story.
Ooooh. A girl with a low cut dress at a prom. Shocking.
I have a feeling that some of you who are calling her fat are not personal trainers or trips to Hollywood.

Oh, for heaven's sake. Women have been making their boobs apparant since Adam and Eve. I can't imagine a prom without some really bad fashion choices; it's part of the fun.
Back in the day, spaghetti strap dresses were the rage. So was dancing the twist. The combination made for some real interesting wardrobe malfunctions.

I just watched the video at the link and it said "parents".
Amazing is correct ;(

When she has so much stuff hanging out around her underarm, that is just an ill fitting dress. It's pretty obvious that the dress is designed to accentuate the cleavage by pushing the breasts together. It looks like the dress is a good size or two too small to begin with, as well.

The girl I took was classy, dignified and very much a lady.

They sell little bolero type cardis that cover the shoulders and cleavage area that are quite stylish. And a shawl is always good for covering and possible chills from the weather or air conditioning.
This girl’s mother should have insisted that she bring one with her - just in case.
