Hillary Clinton Biopic: Who Should Play Hillary In Rodham Biopic? Scarlett, Reese, Jessica ...

The search for the actress to play Hillary Clinton in the biopic Rodham is creating loud buzz as the race gets fuelled by four equally talented actresses vying for the role. (Click Slideshow to view photos)

It's a four-way fight among blonde beauties Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Chastain. Said to be gaining the early lead in the running is Johansson who is now busy filming the raven haired spy Black Widow in the sequel of Captain America.

Whispers are getting louder going into the final casting that Johansson is almost sure to get the Rodham role in the bag. Soon, according to sources, people will see her trading her Black Widow leather bodysuit for more conservative attire as the young Hillary Clinton.

Director James Ponstoldt, who was picked last month to helm the movie, said that casting for the coveted role has just commenced.

According to The Independent, Ponstoldt describes Johansson and the other touted candidates as "all wonderful actresses."

The director said it's an enviable position to be in where "really great actors are interested in playing these roles."

Johansson was most recently seen in the biographical comedy-drama Hitchcock as Janet Leigh. She has previously starred in the movies "Girl With The Pearl Earring," "Lost In Translation" and "A Love Song For Bobby Long" for which she earned Golden Globe nominations.

Another actress who is also in the running to play the Hillary role is Reese Witherspoon. The Legally Blonde star, who is described by many as a method actor, has likewise portrayed a wide range of remarkable female roles, the most recent of which is her character Juniper in the critically acclaimed Mud.

Jessica Chastain, another fierce competition for Johansson, is a talented actress who recently just earned rave reviews for her portrayal of a politically relevant role in the critics' favorite Zero Dark Thirty. Chastain has been described by movie critics as "one of the finest actors of her generation," for her role in the horror film Mama.

And rounding up the four-way fight is naturally blonde actress-model Amanda Seyfried. The classic beauty who played Cosette in the film version of Les Miserables makes the competition stiffer going into the final casting.

The Rodham biopic, according to film writer Young il-Kim, will tackle the early stages of Hillary Clinton's career in Washington when she was a legal counsel.

''Rodham' is 'a journey of a woman who was torn between her personal desires and her professional ambition - both literally pulled her thousands of miles apart, because Bill did not want to leave Arkansas, and she did not want to leave Washington, D.C.," Young earlier told Politico.

In the early publicities of the film, there were loud talks that since it focuses on the young career of Hillary Clinton, the movie would be stuffed with raunchy sex scenes. But Young was quick to deny the rumours and said that the film would provide an interesting picture of the realistic dilemma and diverse lifestyle of the former US first lady.

Laura Linney has a lovely natural contralto voice. Do you think she could duplicate Hillary’s screech?

I watched the first part of just one of "her" movies a very
long time ago, and then I avoided "her" and John Waters
forever after. EW X 100!

WARNING! Read no further if you are easily grossed out!

"She" followed a small dog around until it "went" and
gagged down some of the dog's poo on camera. That
was quite enough for me. BF and I walked out.

I would have said Joan Allen. I'm not a fan, but she hasn't been a total disaster so far playing lady politicians and politician's ladies.

Or maybe Kathy "Picket Fences" Baker who we used to call "that Hillary actress" back in the Nineties (I guess it was the hairdo -- they don't look much alike today).

If it has to be somebody younger, why not give Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes a chance? A train wreck might actually make the show interesting.

But the premise is dumb. Actresses like Reece Witherspoon or Scarlett Johansson go out of their way to avoid showing their real faces in public.

So you get these farces of actresses who pretending to be more attractive than they are without make-up pretending to be the not so attractive Hillary (who may or may not pretend to be more attractive than she is).

I hope you have good insurance where you drive. If you hit a moose, can cause a lot of damage to a semi. Of course I am not insinuating that the young 'lady' is any way shape or form related to the family Alces alces!

I know the movie that you are referring to, saw it once many years ago, and have no desire to see it again. Ever.
