Just think if any of that debris makes it to any major North American cities..... we just might see Anarchy breakout if it happens to take out telecommunications or a city.

He also shut down Reagan’s missile defense too didn’t he? Sounds like the Russians are sure developing theirs if rumors are true.

I just don’t know. The source is generally credible, but he said that he wasn’t sure.

I just filled the truck and three gas cans. Hadn’t gotten around to the gas cans all winter. Non-ethanol premium with Stabil for storage. I try to keep at least a few filled at all times. Have about 10 more empty ones I might fill tomorrow, but not just for the space junk.

Nothing would surprise me.

Notice many telecommunications are out there? Could detonating a tactical nuke like this end up being like an EMP?

Don’t buy it. Meteors can enter the atmosphere at up to 60,000 mph. At those speeds the pressure wave alone would be responsible for any effect.

Partners In the Sverdlovsk

region of the meteorite, no one hurt Today, 12:11

In the management of MES for the Sverdlovsk region said that there is no one in the region affected by overflying the Urals meteorite.
In the Chelyabinsk region has suffered at least four people.

According to the MINISTRY, the rescuers are Sverdlovsk in stand-by mode, but reports of the devastation were not reported. “Everything is calm in the Sverdlovsk region.

Part of MES are in stand-by mode, but details of damage and casualties there, “said our correspondent in the Urals regional emergency Center.
Unlike the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk area, there are at least four affected — this was reported in the Federal EMERGENCY SITUATIONS MINISTRY press service.

Rescue workers claim that the new meteorite falls are expected.
It is known that 4:0 pm will fly above the earth asteroid 2012 DA14. Astronomers claim that it should not interfere with our planet.

I am wide wake now but not a good idea to go out in city to get gas in middle of night alone. I will be leaving this place ASAP if SHTF. Cities would be death traps for sure. Sure makes you think doesn’t it?

Try to relax and go to sleep. There is a perfectly clear sky here and I did not see even a single “shooting star”.

You may be right. Like I emphasized (posting from a phone so used quotes), unsubstantiated. That said, you don’t chase a big rock moving that fast, you get in its way.

But by detonating it in the air could it have an EMP impact?

Depends on the yield and the altitude. In theory, not in this situation. But who knows?
