As Sandy hits the east coast, I am sure we will wonder what if we were approaching Election Day this Tuesday?
Is there a law , or must there be a law not permitting voting beyond the national election day, no matter what? Regardless of
Massive snow storm in the Plains, Mountains, Alaska. Volcano eruption in Hawaii
Earthquake in California, Missouri, Virginia
East Coast blackout, etc.
One point I must add, if Tuesday were Election Day, then on Monday many poll workers would be required to pick up election materials. Could not have an election with voting machines without them. What happens if you arrive at the polling place & there are no workers?
you mean like the Barney Frank deception???
This is a good point and every day I am praying against voter fraud. Thank you for posting!
Wouldn’t it be cool if we also had a law that required any and all presidential candidates to present to the public ALL relevant documents, such as their birth certificate, tax returns, and college transcripts?
I’d really rather vote in July. No real reason I can’t walk the 150 yards to the polling place in November, I just don’t wanna.
Wouldn’t it be cool if those laws were just enforced
In other words, a voter gets a ballot no matter what happens. An election judge could write the candidate choices on a piece of toilet paper, put a number on it, and sign it and it becomes an official ballot by that judge's signature.
I’d much rather see a law prohibiting voting PRIOR to election day (with the exception of traditional absentee voting). This early voting nonsense is ridiculous and an open invitation for cheating, election fraud, and manipulation of public opinion. It’s the worst idea next to election fraud itself.
It’s called Election Day for a reason.

Isn’t it amazing the big deal they make over tax returns but we never get the most basic of facts about someone??
11 days to go,the storm will pass.
Sorry, having cruise tickets does not work.
I remember being a young Marine stationed overseas during a presidential election and felt honored, special, for being able to vote without pulling a curtain back....because I could not be there while serving my country. I thought we were special then.
I have no objection to early voting the week before the election, but not earlier.
Some of the states voting for weeks now....that is ridiculous.
Article II Section 1 Clause 3:
The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.
Congress can change the date of the election if they fear a storm is coming, but the entire nation must vote on the SAME DAY (and only one "day") across the country.
No law can supercede the Constitution.

That would be great. Four months less campaigning.
They wouldn’t dare start four months earlier, would they?

The storm will pass, but some areas may be without electric for a long period of time.
Early hell, I want to vote next summer.
They are prepared, they have been through these storms before.
I think submitting potential politicians to psych evaluations and what not would be a good idea too.
