We know going in that the media is corrupt and deceitful, and the majority of the electorate is clueless. They will believe what msnbc, cnn, WaPo and the NY Times tells them, and vote accordingly. Therefore, we need to be forceful and honest, but not intentionally inflammatory. Free Republic is dear to my heart, as there is nowhere else for me to go to get honest information on politics and current events. Free Republic has nurtured, edified, and affirmed my deeply rooted conservative values in an educational and always entertaining manner. Conservativism is right and true. I can throw bombs with the best of them, but I find that it is ineffective for bringing people to our side. I’m all for being truthful and forceful, but don’t see the purpose in throwing raw meat to the corrupt left.

We don’t have to give it to them because they will make it up. They are masters of projection and love to feign righteous indignation at every turn. I am definitely not one who believes that we should play nice so they’ll like us, a la Juan McCain. We need to remember that we are dealing with people who are amoral, who MUST be defeated! Well said wardaddy. Who needs the left patrolling for every conceivable, remotely possible white racist Sasquatch when “our own” are the gatekeepers for the PC left (such as the despicable and cowardly Rich Lowry). I don’t deny FR’s right to moderate as they see fit, as a private website, but we needn’t boast about our lack of fear of the left’s censorship when we censor ourselves. I call this the “soft right”, whereas I would define those who go where angels fear to tread the “alt right”.
