Clint Eastwood just made Mitt Romney's day.
The Oscar-winning director and longtime movie star says he's endorsing the Republican presidential candidate.

I like Clint and all. But was there really someone out there sitting in their basement just waiting for Clint to make up his mind?

Josey Wales: "If I get to liking someone, they ain't around long."
Chief Dan George: "I noticed when you get to disliking someone, they ain't around for long either."
Honestly I think it is more than someone like a Sarah Palin. Sad, but true to me. A hollywood make believe artist, a pretend person for what they know means more than someone in the trenches that lives and breaths this country. Yep. It means more.
Well, he’s no Chuck Norris but...
Did he mention Barry as that Obama fella again?
Well, that doesn’t exactly make my day. Guess it is better than not coming “out” for Zero.
Clint Eastwood has a chance to become as wise as a person like Ray Bradbury. But it may take lots of effort and research. Don’t know if he has the time and energy and commitment to become Wise.
Come on, Clint-—educate yourself and get off of the Satanist (euthanasia, homosexual marriage, etc.) bandwagon. You have the God-given talent and brains to become really a beacon to many and a voice of Truth—instead of being a slippery-slope to hell.
Thanks Perdogg.
No surprise here. I doubt Clint would endorse a foreign national.
I welcome “Harry’s” endorsement

A lot of Hollywood types would like to endorse Romney too, but they don’t have the latitude of Clint Eastwood. He’s got his own production company and more work than he can do. The average actor/entertainer in the business has to toe the liberal line if they want work. But they can vote for Romney and will.
Moderate Republican politics aside, Clint Eastwood is a stand-up guy. When I was stationed in California in the 80’s, Clint was the mayor of Carmel. I ran into him a number of times, once in Carmel, and a couple of times at charity events, like the Special Olympics. He was always approachable and particularly friendly to those of us who are/were in the service.
‘Clint Eastwood endorsing Romney’s presidential bid’
AMERICANS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER .....
AUUU RAH......
GEN. Schwarzkopf lets hear it....loud and clear.... YERRRR UP......! THE PLATE AWAITS YOU...
Go ahead... Make my election!
Romney scores his first vote in California.
Actually, I know many votes-for-Democrats-by-default folks who will vote for Romney because Clint Eastwood has endorsed him. There is a reason why candidates court endorsements.
Egads! Three times the fun.
Obama: Endorsed by Hugo Chavez
Romney: Endorsed by Clint Eastwood
“A man’s gotta know his limitations”
Obama should recognize his and come to the conclusion that he is a failed president and needs to step down.
He declares it after the car blows up! LOL
Wrong.
Clint lived far above the glitter of Hollywood - on all levels - because he was a 'real' person and never became part of the glitterati.
He lived far away from Hollywood - in Carmel-By-The-Sea for many years - even served as mayor. He sent his kids to a small Catholic school. Quietly helped out many people in many ways - things YOU and most everyone else never heard or knew about.
He also helped out the community - for one example: there is a beautiful old monastery in Carmel. Spanish architecture - long green lawns and gardens. Developers were going to buy it, tear it down and build - well, you get the drfit. The town wasn't going to stop it.
So Clint bought it and deeded it in such a way as it would remain a monastery -
I could tell you much more about Clint - the REAL person - (Carmel was a small town - @4,000. I lived there.) But I won't take the time.
Just to say - maybe some people shouldn't judge people they don't know?

"Get off my country!"
Post of the day!
I feel good in the company of people who love their country - I don't have that feeling when the Obama's are mentioned.........
Better to be endorsed by Dirty Harry than Dingy Harry.
Yep - now there's a bunch on FR who will never watch another eastwood movie because they don't have the gonads to make the distinction...
Good one.
No, not at all, but you have to admit that after the Super Bowl commercial that had the Dems drooling because they thought it was a pro-Obama commercial, now this. I think it’s funny.
My comment only relates to the power of celebrity. The other side of Clint is inconsequential to the fact that celebrity endorsements tend to mean a lot to the masses. I am certain Clint is all that and a piece of butter, but for most people he is Dirty Harry, etc.
Good for Clint, he proves he loves America and realizes how bad it will be to have Obama for a second term.
