BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) - Lawyers for one of Jerry Sandusky's adopted sons said the man has told authorities the former Penn State assistant football coach abused him.
The lawyers issued a statement Thursday naming Matt Sandusky, one of Jerry Sandusky's six adopted children, and saying that the 33-year-old had been prepared to testify on behalf of prosecutors at his father's sex abuse trial.
"During the trial, Matt Sandusky contacted us and requested our advice and assistance in arranging a meeting with prosecutors to disclose for the first time in this case that he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky's abuse," Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici wrote in the statement. "At Matt's request, we immediately arranged a meeting between him and the prosecutors and investigators.
"This has been an extremely painful experience for Matt and he has asked us to convey his request that the media respect his privacy. There will be no further comment."
The statement was issued after jurors in the ex-coach's child sex abuse trial began deliberating 48 charges against him. The jurors are sequestered during deliberations.

How can they be in Mortal Sin if they are saved by grace? Is John 3:16 not a promise by which God holds no condition?
I do believe in justification by faith-—but not with the “alone” bit. (Catholic).
(Gal.5:6) Good works are also required for salvation, because we are justified by “faith working by love”.
I think it is unreasonable to think that “Works” are useless in a person’s life on earth, but I am not Lutheran.
...And this is why we are REALLY having this discussion. There is nothing indicating a condition for God's Love and Grace. NOTHING. If we could inherit salvation by GOOD WORKS Christ death on the cross is useless!
Your misinterpreting the verse (Gal 5:6). We are "Justified" outwardly to others by works, not God. Remember, WE can not "Justify" ourselves before God no matter what we do. Christ had to become our advocate! Read the whole chapter.
See, there is no way you can even know all your sin. Good works is NOT part of God's plan for salvation, in fact it is the opposite plan from the old testament. Working to EARN salvation most certainly doesn't fall inline with the spirit of scripture.
However, I'm not sure if doing good works would not bring rewards in Heaven.
