Fox quoting Obama as saying it will take ten years to recover from "Bush's recession" and thus he cannot be expected to end it while he's in office.
.....no he just quad-triple it
The MSM will carry this lie for Obama... dems - all liars.
Following that logic, then all the Clinton prosperity was due to Reagan’s supply side economics.
Id like to know how long it will take to recover from the DISASTER of a job Obama has done..Im guessing 100 years
snicker...10 years. Its always 10 years for the dems. 10 years to recover the economy. No need for new drilling, new refineries won’t be online for 10 years (started hearing that twenty years ago). Will take 10 years to overhaul welfare...blah, blah, blah...The dem’s can’t deal with “NOW”, they have to kick the can down the road, always.
Omama: ‘It’ll Take 10 Years to recover from Bush Recession’
. . . and 30 years to recover from the Obama Depression.
The mendacity and hubris of this despicable Poseur-in-Chief grows exponentially each day.
That should provide some comfort to those who are looking for work and can’t find it. Only 7 more years of living like this if we keep Barack Obama as President. Happy Days Are Here Again!!!
We are Americans and we are an instant gratification society.
Nobody will wait 10 years for a recovery.
If elected, Romney has 2 years to show progress or he will be toast as well.
That is the way of things.
Why doesn’t he just round it off at 50 years and name himself President-for-life like his other third-world dictators?
Next year he'll have more flexibility eh comrade.
(1)It can be done.
(2) Obama must go.
Obama inherited the Frank, Dodd, Pelosi, recession and proceeded to make it much worse.
Everyone knew before he got elected that it would take longer than any one president would be in office.
That is not a prediction from Obama. It is a promise. With another term from him there will be eight years of failure followed by a conservative who will need two to start the healing.
So “Yes We Can” has turned into “No We Can’t”.
Actually, shibumi, it *was.*
Read “the 7 fat years” by robert bartley.
So he can’t do anything about gas prices and now he can’t do anything about the economy. What the hell CAN that bass turd do? It seems all he can do is go on vacation, play golf and sing and tell jokes at fundraisers.
Recovery begins on November 7th, to accelerate exponentially on January 21st.
With the way he’s been skyrocketing healthcare and energy costs, and pissing away billions of our money in payola on green energy boondoggles...it’s going to take a lot longer than that.
On the bright side, the unemployment rate will soon be zero. Unfortunately the labor force participation rate will be the same.
I’m feeling all hopey changey.
Romney will end this fiasco which has been perpetuated and amde horribly worse under Obama, and he will do it in 2-3 years. Just like Reagan ended the “misery index,” inflicted on this country by Jimmy Carter in his progressive/liberal term.
Those of us who remember that turnaround know better than this blather Obama is spuing and will undoubtedly be reguritated by the media.
Fact is, under Obama or any of hil ilk...IT WILL NEVER END!
Obama’s Disasterous 1sts as President
The Man who Despises America
Who Really is Barack Obama?
AAmerica at the Crossroads of History
Is this “unexpectedly” or did he know he was lying when he claimed during the last election he could make the needed changes in his first term?
Wow, sure inspires you to give the guy another 4 years.
Bush has alway had a problem of not defending himself.
If he lets this go unchallanged, he deserves the rep he gets.
Man up, Jorge.
I wasn’t joking.
Negative, anti capitalist policies (such as we have now) can have an immediate chilling effect on markets and consumer spending,
Once bitten (as we were under Carter) it takes quite a while to re-prime the pump.
Every time I advance that notion I get a chorus of voices chanting about dot coms and the IT boom. My contention is that the venture capital for those companies would not have been there, but for Reaganomics.
Thank you for the book recommendation. I’ll put it at the top of my reading list!
Updating one of my favorite quotes from Ronald Reagan - who Barry seems to think he is, when he's NOT running for reelection:
"A 'recession' is when your neighbor loses his job.
"A 'depression' is when you lose yours.
"And 'recovery' is when Barack Hussein Obama loses HIS."
As far as I can remember, President Bush never blamed anyone else. He never pointed fingers. He acted like an adult and felt that he was responsible for his actions. That will never happen with President Obama. It’s always someone else’s fault.
Liberals still worship FDR.
Go figure. I've given up trying to. Mental illness is hard to relate to.
Ah, this from the man who said he’d be a one-term president if he couldn’t fix the economy. Start packing, ZERO!
True. And especially LAUGHABLE in the context of this (Remember RECOVERY SUMMER?) .... June 17, 2010
Administration Kicks Off "Recovery Summer" with Groundbreakings and Events Across the Country
Biden will present President Obama with a report laying out a spike in stimulus activity this summer, and how it will contribute to a steady climb to a total of 3.5 million Recovery Act jobs ... by the end of the year.
I dont remember things being all that bad under Bush.
...Until Nanzi Pelosi and the Democraps took over Congress
And to think that the Soviets couldn’t put together anything greater than a five-year plan.
FReeper C. Edmund Wright wrote an article at American Thinker [How 0bama Might Just Break Even On Jobs] which made that exact same point.
That's nothing. I'm still recovering from the hangover I got at Hussong's in Ensenada in 1983.
That is the real truth though. Liberals made fun of Reagans Ideas at the time, but when Clinton rode Reagans economy for 8 years before he crashed the market the liberals to this day say Clinton is the best president of the last 1000 years. I say Nay Nay. Clinton was in the right place at the right time. Had Bush Sr been elected the economy would have done the exact same thing. But the market would have never crashed. Well maybe with Bush Sr getting punked around by the racist liberals.
If I dont have this done [fix the economy] in three years, then theres going to be a one-term proposition. - Barack Obama, February 2, 2009.
The Democrats are saying something like this: We found a big hole that we did not dig. We didnt get it filled in 21 months, but at least we quit digging, Clinton said at the time. Give us two more years. If it doesnt work, vote us out. - Bill Clinton, September 2010
Given the hammering Obama is getting for his economic speech, given yesterday, even from the left wing press, I would say that he’s on track with Carter. For those of you old enough to remember, Carter have a WH speech about malaise and it’s thought it greatly contributed to his eventual routing at the polls. Of course, his abject incompetency helped as well.
With another term from Obama, there won't be anything left to heal.
In other words, obama has admitted he cannot fix the economy.
But the Lame Street Media and his flunkies will carry his water.
If it weren't for the toxic MSM double standard you'd be right... But the day after Romney's elected, the economic problems caused by Obama will ALL be Romney's his fault.
Those of you who don't hate the MSM yet are not paying attention...
Little barry bastard commie has no intentions of trying to fix a mostly capitalist economy. When he told those drones that ‘we are five days away from transforming America’ he was revealing his intentions to turn this into a european socialist style economy, with thousands and thousadns of extra government ‘workers’ to be paid out of borrowed dollars until the entire system collapses. With four more years I’d say he will accomplish his goals and we the people will still be asking ourselves the set-up questions of doesn’t he understand his approach is not working and how could he be so ignorant?
So let me get this Straight, the evil Bush got our economy back on track within 6 months of 9/11 the single most devastating global economic uncertainty event of my lifetime... However YOU, with 3.5 years under your belt, and 2 years of no opposition in the legislature haven’t been able to do jack?? And its all Bush’s fault?
This is why you don’t send folks who can’t play at the intramural level to the big leagues.
Obama is a pathetically small man, trying to do a big mans job, and failing absolutely completely at it.
