The U.S Air Forces highly secret unmanned space plane will land in June - ending a year-long mission in orbit. The experimental Boeing X37-B has been circling Earth at 17,000 miles per hour and was due to land in California in December. It is now expected to land in mid to late June.
At launch, the space plane was accompanied by staff in biohazard suits, leading to speculation that there were radioactive components on board.
The men and women of Team Vandenberg are ready to execute safe landing operations anytime and at a moment's notice,' said Colonel Nina Armagno of the U.S. Air Force's Space Wing. The plane resembles a mini space shuttle and is the second to fly in space.
It was meant to land in March, but the mission of the X-37B orbital test vehicle was extended for unknown reasons.

Secret mission accomplished: America’s mysterious space plane to land after a YEAR in orbit - and no one knows what it did up there
The X-37B has been circling the Earth at 17,000mph and was due to land in California in December
Mission of highly classified robotic plane extended for unknown reasons
Will now land in mid- to late-June
More likely due to presence of hydrazine or something like that.
Stupid headline. Of course somebody knows what it did up there.
17,000 is a little slow for it to be in orbit.
Considering Obama is President, it was probably up there to 'prove' global warming.

It takes a LONG time to disable a Chinese nuclear-armed ‘satellite’ that you’re not completely familiar with. Hehehe.
They were refueling satellites. THe bio-suits are for hydrazine. THat is in-space rocket fuel.
I think it’s not going to be as sexy as people want to think it is.
Probably exposing defense electronics and materials to long term exposure to space for testing and the rare opportunity for retrieval to examine them which generally never happens.
The people in the military are considered “nobody.”
Paging Dan Rather, maybe he can make up some story about what they did.
If Obama knows the details of this mission, it’s performing eavesdropping on we citizens. If Obama DOESN’T know the details of this mission, it’s performing eavesdropping on foreign communications.
Good photographs on the Daily Mail site.
Ping for form's sake.
Stay tuned. I’m sure that Joe Biden will blurt it out in good time.
How is the pilot doing after a year in space?
“17,000 is a little slow for it to be in orbit.”
Depends on how high it is . . .
Cool, go Air Force.
Maybe it went to Tiajuanna
Maybe they will feed Biden the story Rather makes up knowing he will spill it. Great disinformation tactic.
Nope, just happened to see it.
Refueling satellites saves billions of dollars.
Bio suits means one thing - Nasty fuels. Nowm they COULD be handling nuclear fuel to refuel some power cells on some satellites. My bet is hydrazine-like fuels.
This is true!
It depends on the height.
GPE = KE
—> mgh = (1/2)mv^2
—> h = (1/2)/9.81*(7600m/s)^2 = 2944km = 1829 miles orbital height from the center of the Earth
pretty impressive, chuck.
And if you mention something like dead... or hit... It is good form to ping the persons that may or may not be involved.
So much for the myth that the American government is outsourcing space to private companies.
Everyone watch the Dragon, (not what we’re REALLY doing).
Isn't that inside rock? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just a cook.
The plan is to have Geraldo crack open the cargo hold on live TV.
Taking pictures of me peeing out in the yard, no doubt.
The ones with my belly hiding what’s important.
“More likely due to presence of hydrazine “
A friend of mine had a hydrazine injection system on his race car in the mid 50s.
It was really kind of neet stuff!!!!
A good sturdy one.
The results for 17K miles per hour work out to be 1.08 something earth radii.
And that's just too close for comfort. The atmposphere drags you down.
Less than rock, though.
What are the odds this thing accidently lands in Iran?
looks like a bit of a space shark.
all it needs are those dolls eyes stuck on the sides....
I am a cook. You want an Arty Orficer, find your own. I can say it WILL land.
You'll need someone smart to say where.
I think I am lost in your math. Miles is a distance measurement and MPH is a velocity measurement. I’m not sure how you get from 17K mph to 1.08r.
Sorry if I missed something.
It’s overdue for its’ 100 million mile service.
If I'm wrong, 'splain me. Won't be the first time I've been beat for math issues.
