Cops: Accused Prostitute Offered Undercover Officer Sex For Cheeseburgers Off McDonald's Dollar Menu

The woman, the detective reported, replied that the pair “could go have sexual intercourse if I bought her two double cheese burgers off the dollar menu at McDonald’s.” The cop added, “I agreed to the deal and purchased the hamburgers for $2.75.”

Just keep your eyes on him for unusual behavior. I’m sure he’s OK, but...he IS our goggie!

I will keep a huge eye on him. I am going to check him out daily. Run my hand over his belly and give a little pressure on all parts of him to see if tender.

((hug))

We’re back from the pool. Kathleen had a diaper catastrophe, which I dealt with, but one of the facility towels is probably a loss, unless they bleach like crazy!

James is very close to being able to swim the length of the pool, as required for the swim team. I’ll have to keep working on it with him.

Kathleen will always have “diaper catastrophes” at inopportune times. She’s not only a baby, but she is a female baby! LOL!

My dream home has a very large pool, a large Jacuzzi, just so I could invite the James and James of the world! LOL!

Dream homes will not help James achieve 25 yards of swimness, but more trips to Monroe Aquatic Center will.

Bill’s tutoring job has begun. He’ll be going several days a week, at $15 an hour (paid weekly, so I need to buy him gas tonight ;-). Apparently the young lady needs lots of help quickly so she can pass her grade.

"It’d be a lot more efficient if she’d just let him see through her eyes or to develop some reflective function. Did you want to retain the intimidative function?"

Seeing through her eyes was useful for the initial stages of the training. It's important to realize that in this story, developing the ability to disappear from sight will be a desirable attribute for a soldier or spy, but the basic purpose behind pushing Ken to work on this capability is to give his expanding and re-organizing brain exercises that will help it develop.

Next up, Ken will learn how to make a coin appear in his hand. Not a magic trick, his skin will exude the materials.

One sees that Ken is being changed in basic and substantial ways, which will make him into a different kind of person.

Here's an implication in regard to this story: If your ship can provide every material need you may require, what will be your purpose in journeying?

"Babylon 5" did a plot a little like that.

... what will be your purpose in journeying?

To get to the other side?

Why do people climb Mt. Everest? It's certainly not because there's anything at the top they need.

No better reasons than these ...

WHAN that Aprille with his shoures soote
The droghte of Marche hath perced to the roote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour,
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
Whan Zephirus eek with his swete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
Hath in the Ram his halfe cours y-ronne,
And smale fowles maken melodye,
That slepen al the night with open ye,
(So priketh hem nature in hir corages:
Than longen folk to goon on pilgrimages . . . (Geoffrey Chaucer)

Some of them are running from lovers
Leaving no forward address
Some are running tons of ganja
Some are running from the IRS.

Scenes from "The Sound of Music" keep popping into my head.

Steve Goodman, the dead guy who wrote the song we discussed the other e’en.

One of my favorites, and a guy who died much too young. I had the pleasure of deciphering the lyrics to "Talk Backwards" from the vinyl, before the Internet existed and they were printed. I remember the day he died . . .

I don't drink (I'm saving the beers for the rest of you), but I have hoisted a Diet Coke or thirty-seven at the Earl of Old Town in memory of Steve and in honor of his buddy, John Prine, while humming "Souvenirs." Song always makes me cry, even when I hum it to myself.

Yes, much too young. I saw him perform at Virginia Tech when I was there for summer school in either 1983 or 1984.
