Giffords' district was among those covered by the tiny symbols, which were supposed to indicate seats that would be targeted by the GOP.
Giffords found the map disturbing. After the shootings, Kelly vented his feelings about the map to President Barack Obama. He thought Palin might call to offer condolences because of the mounting criticism, but she never did.

Sure enough, if you read the last five paragraphs, the AP is still going with the meme that Palin's crosshairs caused this. There is absolutely NO mention of the political leanings of the gunman, much less his NAME. Only Palin is named as having any responsibility.

I think Gabby Giffords should return to Congress if she is able to do so, and wish here the best.
But come on... this “crosshairs” business is the height of hypocrisy and everyone with a brain knows it. More “political correctness” gone amok. It is a metaphor that is commonly used by people of all political stripes and in advertizing, and other forms of communications. I’m hoping Mr. Cain’s “situation” can be used to start to challenge the insanity of a society that some would have walk on eggshells on the off chance that someone somewhere might find some reason to be “offended” by something that is said or down. Some people need to grow up.

It looks as though Giffords and her husband are going to spend the rest of their lives feeding at the public trough. If Napolitano was still governor of Arizona, she’d probably change the name of Piestewa Peak to Giffords Peak. The commie ‘RATS are going to milk Giffords for everything they can.

They want to make Giffords and her husband the King and Queen of Arizona. We’ve had a lot of Arizonans killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. They don’t get this same treatment from the “media” that Gifford’s gets here. I guess you’ve got to be a DemocRAT to be so loved by the “media”. One can tell how smart Giffords and her bonehead husband really are. They still think that it was Sarah Palin who shot “Gaby”. Unfortunately, that’s not the way it went down. Loughner had a thing for “Gaby” before anyone even knew who Palin was. In true ‘RAT fashion though, Giffords and her knucklehead husband won’t allow a good “crisis” opportunity to go to waste. They are going to exploit this forever. All in the name of communism.
