"We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!" President Bush
The big news of the day is the death and burial at sea of Osama bin Laden. Thank you, President Bush and the US military (including my son and future son-in-law) who made this day happen. Other news is the nuptials of William and Catherine in Great Britain. May God bless their union and draw them close to Him in Jesus Christ. Alabama (my state) and other southeast states continue the task of digging out and rebuilding. A massive effort is underway with able bodies and supplies needed.
AMEN! AMEN!
THX THX.
Last night I attached the face frame to the lathe cabinet carcass and installed the drawer slides and stained the side panels.
Tonight, after Jack's last high school band concert, I will start on the drawers. It will be so nice to spend an evening unpacking my lathe tools and materials and neatly putting them in the bench cabinet and wall cabinet! I have been living out of boxes since the breakup!
Good morning everybody. Prayers for all affected by these killer storms.
We had no storms where we are last night, there was a sl. chance. Another chance this afternoon and evening and then the forecast looks pretty wide open for several days.
There’s nowhere to go to in a bad storm where we are.
That, I think, it the scariest thing about these storms. You take what preparation you can and then, you wait. The waiting is easier when you can trust in God, knowing that even if "the worst" appears to happen, it is all part, somehow, of His sovereign plan. We are not at the mercies of an arbitrary dice thrower.
I think an indoor day is planned. I have several projects which need attention:
Of course, it won't all get done, but progress needs to be made.
Please check in to let us know how you are.
To all Englishmen:
I apologize.
GOOD MORNING!!!! Busy as a bee yesterday, donating to some of my doctors, getting some new medicines but hey, these old boys are keeping me alive, 75 and still alive.
GD out of school even if it feels as she is not, alays on the go and and am trying to find her a car to buy, lots of used cars out there but are all to many of high miliage on them. Coure trying to please a young grandchild is hard, sooner than later we will find her something.
got to tell all, it is so good to be able to talk to you.
My prayer are out for the storm victims, so terrible. Soon we will be looking for the hurricanes and it is suppose to be an active year. Told SIL last night we should start planning to build a underground storm shelter, on our place we have plenty of room to do so. I like the idea myself.
OK, off to the big house to see if I can find some fixed food.

I thought I had been hearing a cat meowing, it was the little one Caleb had locked in a cage, one thirsty, hungry cat. That boy is on go 24-7.

Terrible winds and fire in W. Texas I read...
Glad you are OK and damage is manageable.
Happy to hear you’re safe and sound. The weather looked terrible, on tv. Did your garden survive the high winds?
Speaking of gardens. We have so much stuff getting ripe and ready for the pot and freezer, it’s amazing. Seems all I’m doing is squash, cucumbers, beets.

AW that’s a shame. Were you going to use the new tobacco leaves in a scrumptous salad?
Sure he is.
Well.....being the great chef he is,,,,,I knew he’d find a way to use those tobacco leaves in a “healful” way being an Old smoker, I was. 3 packs from NY to VietNam and back. Began running and found out running and cigarettes don’t like one another.
It's for after-dinner cigars with home-made port (or something like that). That's as close to dinner as the tobacco gets.
As a long-time smoker, I almost died from a slip-fall accident.
The entire universe is out to get me. ;) I don't particularly worry about healtful. (I'm betting on skin cancer taking me out, anyway)

>>I apologize.
You are apologizing for zero? That’s a full time job - are you sure you want to go there?
Rain is in our forecast, but I’m not sure I’m believing. Did you have rain yesterday?
How is that poor, hungry, thirsty kitten today? Caleb sure keeps y’all hopping.
If you don’t get rain today, it’s because we took it all this morning.
Plenty of thunder/lightning and heavy rain a couple of hours during the night and then again this a.m. Just gave up and let the sun through about 30 minutes ago.
I did hear, however, that the storm was going to Birmingham, so maybe there is hope for you!
