"We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!" President Bush
The big news of the day is the death and burial at sea of Osama bin Laden. Thank you, President Bush and the US military (including my son and future son-in-law) who made this day happen. Other news is the nuptials of William and Catherine in Great Britain. May God bless their union and draw them close to Him in Jesus Christ. Alabama (my state) and other southeast states continue the task of digging out and rebuilding. A massive effort is underway with able bodies and supplies needed.
My Mom always talked to my Dad and I in the early morning and neither of us appreciated it. So, one morning Dad told Mom that he could cook his own breakfast and mine too, and she could just sleep in.
That took care of that crisis - never did see Mom before 8:00 a.m. after that!
Last week, while walking in my house, my back “popped”. The meetings have not helped it so today I went to a “doc-in-the-box”. I now have some pain killers and an appointment for an MRI on Friday. BUT, I am not responsible for anything I say and do for the next few days until this pain subsides. LOL!
I'll try talking to him sometime and see how well he likes that! So there!
Glad you’re getting the MRI. Have fun in La-La Land, in the meantime...

Toby, today's picture is from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Miss you!
I have a sister who won’t talk in the early a.m. Her husband makes the coffee, she will sip the coffee, read the paper and fuss around. Along about 0800 she’ll “good morning” then is silent for more minutes. It’s nutty. Of course when my feet hit the floor, there’s lots to say.
/johnny
Hope the MRI shows results that can be treated and get you on your way to recovery. I have another GF that’s also having back pain, doing the MRI’s, etc.
good morning all
When you get back are you going to smoke her?
It's raining like crazy here and we're under a tornado watch. My garden needs this rain. Thank You, Jesus.
/johnny
I’m not sure I like the tornado watch part, but since they just tried to burn Texas down, I really, really like the rain part!
Take care and don’t go out in the tornado if it shows up, you are still in recovery from the last accident you had!
Me? Go out in a tornado? Why? Is there something out there I should see? Maybe I should check!! ;)

Good morning. Today's picture is from Jupiter, Florida.
Kudos and Bravo to the LSU students who exercised their free speech and prevented a low-life professional student from burning a flag yesterday. The grad student was chased off campus to the shouts of "Go to hell, hippie" and "USA, USA!" There is hope for America.
A special “Toby” ping.
Good morning.
Had some huge thunderboomers here last night. Hail, too.
Hail, not good. I hope everyone was alright?
Good morning everybody, checking in. Mr. Prairie has a doctors appt this afternoon and I plan to go with him, so trying to get ahead of the game, multi-tasking this morning.
yes, I loved the LSU response to the would be flag-burner. We need more people standing up and putting their foot down on these leftist shenanigans.
Everyone is fine. Hail did beat the heck out of some of my geraniums.

I sent a note to Allie, Toby’s granddaughter.
Hopefully he is okay & with the heads up he will wander over to FR.. wondering if he is having computer issues still
Big storms going through here.. been busy in yard past few days.. lots of clean up & did my first mowing (everyone else on road has done MANY)
Seeing play Chicago again this weekend. A friend is in it (little theater locally)... very well done production. I did photo shoot at dress rehearsal and then saw it last weekend
Still missing mom. Despite our differences, mom is mom
That is always a special celebration - the first fruit of the year in a garden. I celebrate my first rose and my first tomato. Yum! Sate in butter and put a dash of cinnamon on it. Be careful not to over-cook the zucchini.
I also, earlier this week via Facebook, sent Allie a note. I’ve been trying to ping him every day so that he won’t have trouble finding us. I’m wondering if he just gave up, not seeing any traffic here.
How are the dogs taking the thunder? When the tornados came through I was expecting the dogs here to be rather excited but they were the calmest critters in the house.

Good morning!
Ping!
After hitting close to 80 yesterday, we are back into the 50'w for the weekend.
Ahhh... spring. It's been a wet start. I am sure the mosquitoes will make their presence known real soon.
Good morning. Thanks for reviving this thread. I haven’t had much time this week so haven’t been doing much reading.
Has Toby been around?
/johnny
i’m on the road at the moment so I won’t be staying. But, no. Toby hasn’t appeared yet. Bummer!
FYI, I love bacon.
Hello....Toby you are missed don’t make these ladies come looking for you..it won’t be pretty.
Listen to Dog! He know wherewith he speaks.
Good evening, everybody! I am home. I hate traveling. I especially hate traveling by car.
The Notes and Mussing of a Madman...
Mitch Daniels? I think I will go and kiss my sister...wait, I don't have a sister...
Why are we in Libya? And why are there boots on the ground? Oh, to the liberals/socialists/democrats/progressives/communists reading this, there ARE boots on the ground (you morons).
0bama not beatable? Methinks that's mental masturbation on the left. OK, I'm being redundant.
Newt, please, any commercial with Nancy Pelosi doesn't give me a hard on.
At some point, everyone one in America is going to realize we are moving towards a civil war...and if not, those are the people who will die first.
Soon, and I hope I'm wrong, everyone in American will have to chose...and take a stand.
Inflation is here, structural unemployment is here, how is that hopey changey working out for you, Peggy Joeseph?
Sheesh, having to type this disturbs me...

Good morning. Building a computer for a co-worker. Leaving for fishing to Leadville after the breakfast Wednesday. Can’t miss this breakfast. Our Republican co-chair of the Colorado redistricting committee will speak. As it stands right now, the CRAT are trying to gerrymander the blankety-blank out of the districts. If I’m lucky though, I will wind up back in the House 6th District (Coffman - R 6th Colorado) and out of the 7th (perlmutter -CRAT- 7th - hussein lapdog), but I’m not getting my hopes up too high. Coffman comes to the breakfasts when he is in town and emails the founder of the club who reads the email to us every Wednesday morning with the latest in congress.
Good morning!
The “unbeatable” drumbeat is being tattooed across the MSM in the hopes it will become a reality. They’re trying to sink it into our brain so that it will be in our subconcious by the time we get to the voting booth. That is the only way it will happen. He will have to do some strong campaigning to get his base out again. Whoever is the opposing candidate needs to hammer home the failed policies of the current admin and point out WE CAN’T AFFORD 4 MORE YEARS OF THIS DISASTER!
Good Morning Everyone. Willbe busy today. Do a little launering, a bit of ironing, local vote needs doing, doing lunch with a friend, packing for our trip to Ohio, checking our gardens and watering. Our neighbor will keep the plants watered while we’re gone.
OH, you should see my watermelons. I have six on the vine, one is the size of a tennis ball. The watermelon plants are climbing a fence, one vine has outgrown the fence so I tied a 10 foot bent rebar to the end of the fence and wound and tied the vine to the rebar. We’ll see what happens.
Newt and Pelousy, Newt endorsing pro-choice RINO Didi Scozzifava, not even to get into the stuff that happened over a decade ago. I agree, Newt is a non-starter.
I read where Pawlenty is getting some wealthy backing....who knows?
Having to read it is disturbing too, but sometimes the truth hurts... I’ll take the pain now and hope for the best.
The only thing is, it isn't just ignorance - of which there is plenty - it's also because there is no longer any common sense. Children are no longer taught how to think, they are now taught WHAT to think. Doesn't leave too much room for either brilliance or common sense!
I guess that proof reading really is a talent -
our was supposed to be your.
Yep. Indoctrination is part of this nation.
Huckabee is NOT running for President.
I only have one word in response: YIPPEE!!!!
yes, I saw that too.
I don’t find any of the current ones particularly exciting except for Cain, and I’m not sure he can win.
Good Sunday morning!
It is gorgeous here in east central Alabama. The grass is green, the sky is a deep clear blue, the birds are singing in the trees.
I’m going to be staying home today, staying horizontal and working on baby layettes while I let my back heal. At least, I hope it is healing.
Toby, we miss you!
Good morning All’
So happy to see atrw back here, I tried to get into the other one, with no luck.
Sorry to hear about the loss of so many mothers, I lost mine in 04.
I’m gonna get a fishing license today
My mom died in ‘04 as well. Still seems “not quite right.”
Rave, ok, is this a new hobby for you?
Good Morning Everyone.
We’ll be leaving in a little while and will be gone about 10/11 days. We’re headed to Ohio for a meeting and just generally look around. We were both stationed at Wright-Patterson many years ago, and this will be our first trip back.
Prayers for those in flooded areas. Stay safe.
Till later..
Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
>>Rave, ok, is this a new hobby for you?
No-—never fished before....(outside of a silly attempt when I was a little Raven)
Have a safe trip till.
