Also for the many Wounded, I spend a lot of time at the VA Hospital. Seems to be getting really crowded there. Tears me up, they do not have much emotion just blank stares. Hard to find the right words to say to them.
Amen to that and to all the prayers offered here. I will keep praying. We’ve got 3 from our church who are in Afghanistan, my nephew is headed there shortly, and my sister’s brother-in-law is going shortly. I pray God’s protection, guidance, comfort, endurance, hope, and joy to all our troops over there and their loved ones back home.
Dear Lord, shield them from fear, loneliness, weariness, and the constant danger to body, soul, and mind. Help them hold to each other and to You. Let them feel Your love and the love and respect of those they are fighting for. Thank You for them, and for the families who sacrifice so much to let them defend us. Be with them as they grieve those who have fallen. Prepare each one for whatever they face each day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I spent three and a half years with 3/5 in the eighty's. It sucked. Silly endless B.S.
Thank God for Al Gray. He brought the Marine Corps back to it's pride and glory after the Vietnam era and Carter years. I wish I would have waited four years to enlist. Al Gray is really the unsung hero of the post Vietnam Marine Corps rebuilding. And by rebuilding I don't mean armaments. I mean Morale and good effective training.
St Michael, Commander of all the hosts of heaven, surround the 3/5 Marines with your fiercest warriors. Confuse their enemy and make them useless against our brave young Marines.

Yes he was and he came at the right time. Immediately rescinded the V necks. I managed to make it without buying them. Pissed me off that they issued crew necks in boot camp while telling us we would need to buy V necks.
Prayers up for the Lord’s hedge of protection for our mighty warriors in 3/5 and all those brave men and women serving in harms way.
Prayers, prayers for our Marines and all our Military. May God’s Grace hold them; sustain them; keep them safe and allow them victory as they confront the enemies of all Humanity.
