I don’t know that pits are necessarily a bad breed, but like many things that can be used as weapons they’re owned by bad people. The difference, though, is that a weapon requires an operator. Not so with a dog.

Okay, I’d never own one and I’ve had no trouble with the few I’ve interacted with over the years. However, I do still have the scars on my shoulder, back, neck and head that were provided by a Great Dane more than 30 years ago.
