Just saw a rock fall across the sky

I've seen meteors before, but this was a rock falling. It was not ablaze like a meteor entering the atmosphere. It was headed east across Pennsylvania. It was perhaps a mile or so above me. From my vantage point it appeared at least a few meters across (judging from the distance). Guessing it would fall into the Atlantic.

Not ablaze, six feet across, irregularly shaped, brownish-gray and seen from a mile away in the dark, headed east or north-northwest.

I’d love to hear the reaction to the call-in on that one. “Yep, youbetcha, we’ll issue a BOLO for a dark flying rock somewhere over Pennsylvania right away, sir.”

I wasn’t sure — I spent all night watching them a few months ago.

It amazes me that Justin Hayward hasn’t lost a note and the singers for Beth, the Reverend and Thunderchild sound just like the album.

Good stuff! I hope the alien invasion started by the OP doesn’t get us. Just in case we should tear down the observatory to keep it from happening.

And, of course, if need be I want it on record that I, for one, welcome our new 3-legged overlords...
