LONDON, Dec. 17.--A dispatch to The Star, dated Apia, Samoa, Dec. 8, confirms the report that Robert Louis Stevenson, the novelist, died suddenly a few days ago from apoplexy. His body was buried on the summit of Paa Mountain, 1,300 feet high.

Oh, I see, you posted the thread hoping to have a little fun at the expense of the Samoans. Words fail me. Not really, but I just don’t think you’re worth it.

No, I had no serious answer to your question as I have no idea of what is happening in the Samoas.

One of the most frightening videos on Youtube shows a tsunami coming in with people mostly unawares till it’s too late. Can’t find the particular one I remember or would link it. There are quite a few of them. If the ocean starts to recede there is little time, but for some reason not everyone is aware of this. In some cases there’s no higher ground to go.

Thanks decimon. Those interested, try a search for "Lituya Bay tsunami". :')
