Feeling itchy today? Suddenly have that feeling that something is crawling on the back of your neck.. Moving down your back.. an itch you just can’t seem to reach. You’ve had those kind of itches before, the itch you just can’t scratch... similar to the feeling if you had an ant crawling on your leg but didn’t bite.. now the back of your leg is itching... now your elbow.. you scratch and scratch..

I responded to one of your other threads on this, but to respond again, I would find a good, no extraordinary, herbalist, acupuncturist, chiro, and work that way since there doesn’t seem to be any mainstream answer. The eastern way of doing things will at the very least allow you some calm while doing battle, and it just might cure you too. I’m currently taking liver detox alternating with kidney detox, and taking some stuff for my thyroid, for my auto-immune woes. And it has been working! Slowly, but surely, like the “growth of a flower” as my doctor would say. If I compare how I feel today with a year ago today, there’s NO comparison. So while I’m not healed completely, I’m sure one heck of a lot better.

(Good luck. Sounds like one very nasty ailment.)

Wow. The last I had heard on Morgellons (admittedly probably a year ago or more) it didn’t include the descriptions of the neurological symptoms. There is a lot more information in this article than I’ve ever heard before on this — especially the part about bugs actually coming through the skin. I’ve never heard that mentioned before.

It seems rather odd though that in the article they are talking about such a wide variety of biological classifications though... I mean the fibers, and the stuff about some kind of a fungus changing DNA - that I could understand. When you include BUGS and WORMS coming out eventually - well then that makes it all the more interesting really. It’s not as if the fungal “virus” could cause a change in human DNA to produce worms and bugs, could it??? It seems impossible.

Granted, I don’t have any extensive medical or scientific education in this area at all - but would it be possible for someone making a biologic weapon to combine some type of egg with the fungal stuff? Or, is it more of a case of someone with open wounds then being susceptible to a secondary parasitic infection?

It’s all very strange, regardless. Thanks for sharing this article. I’m glad that there were some doctors a few years ago who took the time to take these people seriously. It seems it’s taken an awful long time to get the word out on this though - I can’t imagine how long it would feel if one actually had the disease...

I saw this on Mystery diagnosis, and this person ended up with a doctor in Texas.

I would recommend taking extra zinc and maybe wear copper because they are both effective against fungi on plants and it sure couldn’t hurt.

Oh, am I glad I read that article, I just knew I should've passed it by after getting captivated by the title.

Here goes for a night of miserable insomnia, scratching and thinking about 'Morgellons'!

I remember when this first started appearing and people were blogging about it on the alternative medicine site because they were they only ones who would listen. The doctors were referring people to shrinks and some Freepers were making with the tin-foil-hat jokes. How horrible it must be to have this.

The study is being done in the Bay Area of northern California, where many Morgellons patients live.

This should say something about the likelihood that this "disease" is anything other than mass hallucination.

Yep, I saw a show - some mystery diagnosis or ER program where a woman had little grub-like worms living under her scalp. Just like this article describes, numerous Drs chalked up the woman’s symptoms to something mental. But, the ER Dr got lucky and saw one of the critters and pulled out several. The woman and her husband were ecstatic. It was totally gross and weird.

Professor Citovsky issued a statement saying his observation does not imply that Agrobacterium Tumafaciens causes Morgellons, or that Morgellons is indeed an infectious disease. However, he has called for further study
Thanks Scythian.
