i was going to watch a few minutes and then go do something else.
but i watched all of it.
impressive. rush hit home run after home run.
and most of the audience appeared to be younger people. great! that’s what we need new blood.
Rush pretty much speaks for me.
He is a bit modern liberal for my tastes, but he is entertaining.
I listen to him every day if I can. He is dead-on with my philosophy 99.9% of the time.
I pretty much want him to run for president in 2012! he doesn’t even need a VP, he is so intelligent that he can perform both duties!
Rush made my day. The speech was great.
Schneider’s remark that the speech was “sinister” is laughable. Schneider’s pitiful if he can’t do a better job of trashing Rush than that. He needs to go back to school.

I listen to him almost every day too, that is how I have noticed is modern liberal strain. I agree with a number of things he says, but he can not help himself in thinking there should be standards which is ok and thinking government should somehow enforce standards, which is a tougher sell.
And like all the conservative pundits the last 8 years, he failed to give G.W. Bush a full throated defense when he needed it.

Oh, how they would despise the founding fathers if they could again stand and speak.
They would be branded “reactionary” by the new “Republican” Party and branded “selfish, right-wing extremists” by the left.
In case you haven’t noticed, our country is in peril.
I believe more so now than at any time in our history.
Why?
Because this time, for the first time, our government is not concerned with what is best for the free American.
For the first time in our history our government has much “loftier” goals than individual freedom and prosperity.
The same lofty goals that EVERY tyrant started with.
This new tyrant won’t have just one head, however.
It will have many.
It won’t have a face, but a symbol.
It won’t have one military, but many rolled into one-each soldier forced to swear allegiance to a global commander. Ensuring that the soldier will fire on the “world citizens” at home that he previously swore to defend.
It will demand the same things that a single-headed tyrant would demand—nothing less than your labor and your liberty.
One tyrant, or many, still equals stagnation and death for you and me.
Fight those that would destroy our sovereignty.
No global taxes!
No global courts with jurisdiction in the USA!
No global “oversight” of American interests!
The Kenyan will try to sell us out.
Very soon, in fact.
We must fight him!
The best I’ve found (audio and video quality) is on YouTube, which is not saying much, but... The Townhall link does not work for me (vid doesn’t actually seem to be there yet) and the Windows Media download on Rush’s site looked very so-so. The YouTube vids come in 7-8 minute segments, but you can just listen to them in order, so, no big problem.
