Many astronomers have stated that our total eclipse of the sun by the moon is a unique event in the entire universe since the odds against it make it almost an impossibility. Yet here it is happening on the one place in the universe where we know there exists intelligent life that can appreciate such a miraculous event, CLOUDY weather is predicted for much of the path of totality in the United States. As a result we now have an outbreak of extreme Eclipse Anxiety as you can see in this video. The funniest reaction was from Al Roker who is in Dallas and when asked about the eclipse weather could only answer "interesting." Despite Al trying to maintain an upbeat attitude it was later belied when he reported hail, wind, and tornadoes for Texas. Yeah, "interesting" weather for Texas, Al, which means a very lousy chance of seeing the eclipse there.
My biggest hope is that there will be few clouds south of Indianapolis where my friend Pastor Charles Henrickson will be participating in an Eclipse viewing party with his church group. So, please clouds, at least spare the Indianapolis area from clouds for Eclipse Day. Oooh! Oooh! OOOOOOOH!!! And now I think I am experiencing extreme Eclipse anxiety!

If the Sun reappears, it's a sign that Trump will be re-elected.
The reports I’m getting from Twitter indicate the skies are good over Indianapolis and the further south the better. Be sure to give us reports later on your Eclipse experience. Oh, and during the period of TOTAL ECLIPSE it is safe to look at it with the naked eye.
98.8% right here in my backyard. Close enough for me. Beats the hell out of joining the herd. I-40 east bound looked like big city traffic this morning. Just freakin’ nuts.

Meh. We have cloud cover in the Albuquirky metro area. Still saw it through the clouds. Not as nice as it would be without them. But still saw it.

Break in the clouds in Fort Worth. Brother said it was like night. Temperature dropped. He go to see totality. Nice.
A friend and I climbed up a water tower.
By the time it was supposed to be visible we had full cloud cover.
Bummer. But as you said, it was a bust anyway.

But very cloudy. When the clouds dud break some you could get a good view. The clouds act like glasses.
I saw the video view from what appeared to Jacobs Field in Cleveland and yet for some STUPID reason they had the bright stadium lights on. Why would they want to spoil the experience of the sun being blocked by turning on BRIGHT LIGHTS?
Here in North Fort Worth the eclipse started right on time @12:30 central time. I had to stain my fence before the HOA meanies started their property inspections this week, so I stained a few slats ran to the front yard to view the eclipse then ran back to continue staining. I ran out of stain around 1:00pm so sat in my lawn chair and watched the final half hour. There were a few clouds, but the sun always popped out in a couple of seconds. At the point of the total eclipse, it took a minute or two for it to get dark and all the solar lights in the neighborhood came on. I really liked the ring effect when the moon was directly in front of the sun. God provides the best entertainment.
