Nikkis is the VP Pick (Thread on X)
X ^ | 1/14/2024 | @genius_parks

There is a reason for all the Capitol Hill endorsements coming out at the moment. I didn't want to publish what my S. Florida contact told me earlier last week because I didn't want to dishearten anyone. With Rubio's endorsement, it looks like what my source said may be accurate. Essentially, The Trump/Haley ticket is a done deal. Both sides behind the scenes have discussed & hashed out the agreement. The expected announcement will supposedly take place sometime after the NH Primary but before the SC Primary.

Here's how it has gone down: Internal polling has Haley finishing a distant 3rd in IA and lagging far behind in NH with a campaign suspension coming shortly after the NH Primary. The Trump camp does not want to get into a 1-on-1 with DeSantis. For this reason, they started talking to the Haley camp about the VP spot. She would endorse Trump & he'd name her his running mate prior to the SC Primary. One of the things Trump/Haley discussed in the agreement was contingencies involving Trump's legal matters that could eventually force him out of the race.

Under the agreement, Trump would give his full support of delegates behind Haley at the convention with a supporting speech.

This agreement has apparently leaked out onto Capitol Hill with guys like Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Ted Cruz all being aware of it. It appears this had something to do with Rand's #NeverNikki & Lee supposedly seeing the writing on the wall. For that matter, there's been enormous pressure on Cruz to endorse Trump. Cruz is holding out hope that DeSantis pulls off the IA victory, otherwise he is expected to endorse Trump next Tuesday/Wednesday. But he is definitely aware of the Trump/Haley agreement.

The RNC seems to be in the know here as well. They are interested in a side plan that in the event Trump is forced out of the race for legal reasons, they want Haley to pick a female VP running mate creating the first ever all-female major party ticket in history. Regarding the Loomers in MAGA World, I was told Trump would make his social media surrogates accept Haley, or they would get Dilley'd & replaced with "loyal" ones. The shots at Vivek were meant to get him out of the race no later than the NH Primary.

I was skeptical of this whole thing, but then when Rand made his #NeverNikki announcement, it made sense what he was trying to convey. Then Lee. And now Rubio today, and Cruz to follow next week. The bottom line of all this is that Trump IS the Establishment & the Establishment prefers Trump over DeSantis b/c they can control Trump. But if Trump is forced out, they have rigged the game to set Haley up as the beneficiary.

Trump's IA strategy is this. If DeSantis loses by double digits they will use media surrogates & friendly media to push him out if he decides to stay in. If by some chance DeSantis wins IA, they will try to box him out of any further momentum. All DeSantis can do is crush it in IA and "let the chips fall where they may". But if MAGA & the Establishment form this unholy alliance with the bulk of the party acquiescing with this, I'm not sure what the strategy is to out-delegate them to the convention.

Someone who is near @chiproytx or @RepThomasMassie might be able to ask about this, as I'd be surprised they weren't aware of it either. But I believe this explains the rush of endorsements before anybody has even cast a single vote. It's a Trump-Establishment unholy alliance.

If I had to choose between the two non-natural born citizens, I would choose Ramaswamy. However, that is a false dichotomy.

Greg Abbott is a possible choice. He is something of a moderate, but his recent defiance of Washington on immigration, blocking the Feds with the Texas National Guard, may be a move to shore up conservative support. DeSantis booted an excellent chance to be Trump's VP choice by his disastrous Presidential bid and being the GOP front runner in 2028, win or lose. I don't know if Abbott would backstab Trump, but he does bring some assets to the ticket. He is a Southerner (granted a region where Trump needs little help), a Catholic, and married to a Hispanic woman. The Hispanics are the weakest link in the Democrats’ “rainbow coalition”. The Democrats are struggling in their once solid South Texas strongholds. Unlike Asians, who tend to intermarriage with the white liberal upper middle class, Hispanics tend to intermarry with more traditional Americans.

Thankfully these behind the scenes secret anonymous people who are in the know so deep they know people’s thoughts and release that information secretly through secret leaks to anonymous people who report it unwittingly through unvetted anonymous sources to media outlets.

Personally, I’ll wait to see what Trump says.

Completely wishful thinking. I think it’s a Hail Mary tactic to get Trump supporters to switch to DeSantis. With Tucker publicly saying the only way he’d not support Trump is if he picked Haley, I don’t see this ever happening. Complete falsehood.

It depends on Trump’s margin of victory in the primaries. If it’s a horse race, and Trump is not confident he will win - then yes - he might have to cut a deal to clinch it -like Reagan did in 1980.

What I don’t understand is why didn’t Reagan pick someone else in 1984 when his popularity was peaking and his nomination was virtually uncontested?

Same with Nixon in 1972. He was about to win a record landslide - he had gotten saddled with deep state Ford after Agnew resigned, but why did he not pick a new running mate after the convention? …. can a popular POTUS running for a second term not pick his own running mate?

I heard that Trump is going to fill his entire staff and cabinet positions with low life scum bags, backstabbers, and other dregs of society.

Not just the Veep slot, but all of them.

Heck, you should apply, you would be a perfect fit.

Trump knows he’s alienated a huge part of the true conservative, far right base, and will have to move to the left, both in policy and his VP pick, to have any chance in the general.

He himself said last night he doesn’t even expect to hit 50% in Iowa today. None of his supporters were listening though, or understand the implications, because they’re in love with the mirage of him they’ve created in their minds.

This makes sense, as the word for a while has been that people around Trump have been telling him he needs her appeal to Democrats and Independents to win the general.

And if he needs someone to bail him out of legal trouble, she would be amenable to that in a trade for the POTUS spot. It would certainly explain why Trump hasn’t torn into her like he has the others, only coming up with a cute nickname for her.

With Trump referring to Haley as “birdbrain,” imagine the dems: “Trump himself admits his running mate is a birdbrain.”

That’s a cutie-pie endearment term. You should go back and look at all the names and other slams competitors have saddled their opponents with in primary seasons - only to later end up running on the same ticket. Think “Voodoo economics”, for example:

He was smart to lower expectations - the Iowa caucus can be fickle and most often closer than his poll predict.

If he wins by 8 or 10 points that’s a strong win and the fake news (and you) will spin it as a setback for Trump.

As for Trump having to move Left - you are just wrong. He’s not bending one bit - he’s talking about deportations on day one - if anything he’s moving right.

Trump has probably picked a person and it sure is nobody like Nikki. That person has been all over Iowa for Trump. A person with integrity and not a backstabber.
