Trump endorsement has little influence on Hageman-Cheney race, poll shows (BWHAHAHAHAHA)

Former President Donald Trump has made the defeat of Rep. Liz Cheney a top priority, even visiting Wyoming for the first time to campaign for Harriet Hageman, his pick to unseat her. But a new Casper Star-Tribune poll found his endorsement may have little influence over voters here.

Only 30% of people who plan to vote in the Wyoming Republican Primary next month say the Trump endorsement makes them more likely to vote for Hageman, the poll found. In comparison, 26% say it makes them less likely to vote for Trump’s pick, while 44% indicated it has no effect on their decision.

“They’re voting against Cheney to vote against Cheney, not because Trump told them to vote against Cheney,” said Brad Coker, managing director of Mason-Dixon, the polling company that performed the survey for the Star-Tribune.

I don’t eat broccoli because Trump told me to. I like broccoli.

She self-destructed long before the Trump endorsement. I doubt if the endorsement had much of an effect in changing people’s mind.

If they really ruminated on the poll’s showing that Trump’s endorsements mean nothing, it would scare the stuffing out of them. It would mean people, all by their little old selves, are rejecting the GOPe and the collected wisdom of the media and the pundits. Sidelining Trump should be a scarier thought for them.

If Trump has had no effect, that means Cheney is this far down all on her own “merits” — she must really be hated in her district. If I were her, I’d rather be able to blame Trump. So sad.

I bet the “Trump made me more likely to vote for Cheney” respondents are mostly Democrat cross-overs.

Conservatives hate Cheney without being told to do so. Liberals require that someone tell them what to think.

I support Donald Trump.

Not because I agree with him, but because he agrees with me.

The most amazing thing about the left is — not only do they lie to us — they lie to themselves…

“Notice they didn’t say how she is down by double digits.

Just that some voters they talked to said some things about a Trump Endorsement.”

Exactly right. The media cherry picking once again.

The article is correct only because Liz is going to get her ass kicked with or without Trump’s endorsement of her opponent.

So why exactly is Cheney doing so badly in the polls? If this particular poll asked that question, it doesn’t say so in the article. Maybe they’re afraid that, high on the list is the fact that Cheney voted to impeach Trump, as well as her participation in the Jan. 6th show trial to frame him. I think it’s safe to assume both of those are big factors in why Cheney is polling so poorly. But Trump’s endorsement hasn’t caused voters to turn on Cheney in significant numbers? If so, maybe that’s because most voters had already decided to oust her even before Trump’s endorsement of her opponent. See how wonderful polls are? They allow you to claim anything you want, if you know how to phrase the questions.

Bullsh!t. I know someone who knows Cheney and she told her she couldn’t believe her going after Trump in a state where Trump is highly regarded. She said that she just despises him.

We drove across southern Wyoming last week on I-80 and saw numerous billboards screaming “Ditch Liz!”. She’s toast.

Alaska use to have less people than Wyoming. Obviously that made Alaska the obvious choice for least populated density. It’s current population density is 1.28 people per square mile . Wyoming is 5.96. To complete this triva lesson the most densely populated area in the United States is DC at 10984 people per square mile. This also makes DC the undisputed
champion for the highest density of crooked people
