Trump endorsement has little influence on Hageman-Cheney race, poll shows (BWHAHAHAHAHA)

Former President Donald Trump has made the defeat of Rep. Liz Cheney a top priority, even visiting Wyoming for the first time to campaign for Harriet Hageman, his pick to unseat her. But a new Casper Star-Tribune poll found his endorsement may have little influence over voters here.

Only 30% of people who plan to vote in the Wyoming Republican Primary next month say the Trump endorsement makes them more likely to vote for Hageman, the poll found. In comparison, 26% say it makes them less likely to vote for Trump’s pick, while 44% indicated it has no effect on their decision.

“They’re voting against Cheney to vote against Cheney, not because Trump told them to vote against Cheney,” said Brad Coker, managing director of Mason-Dixon, the polling company that performed the survey for the Star-Tribune.

Trump's endorsement cleared the field so that Cheney couldn't used the split the conservative vote gambit.

But yeah, NOW there's supposedly no effect (poll-wise).

Again. BWHAHAHAHAHAHA

Don’t know about Trump, but a media “news” announcement has little influence on believability.

I may be mistaken, but didn't polls say Hillary would be President, not Trump?

Notice they didn’t say how she is down by double digits.

Just that some voters they talked to said some things about a Trump Endorsement.

I love to LIE to pollsters. I like to screw up their numbers. Everyone should do this.

It’s OK...Liz will be fine with her new gig on MSNBC as the token “conservative”.

Jul 11, 2022 Wyoming congresswoman Liz Cheney is facing an uphill battle ahead of August’s Republican primary election. A recent poll conducted by Quinnipiac University found that only 17% of Republicans across the U.S. approve of her job on the January 6 committee, while 61% disapprove.

I do that too. I say I’m Hispanic and voting for conservatives here in MA. Somewhere some liberal sees this and screams.

I think most of the respondents didn’t want to put up the abuse that comes from leftists, so they lied to the pollster.

“Notice they didn’t say how she is down by double digits.”

Multiple double digits over 20% with millions of dollars being spent on a small congressional district. So, we are to believe a sitting congress person whose district did not change and is spending millions is losing by over 20% and it is not because of Trump. Yeah, right.

Frankly Liz’s actions make Trump’s endorsement of Hageman a moot point.

Even if true, it’s a huge leap to the implication that it means people don’t care who Trump endorses or that his endorsement has no meaning. It just means that people were already predisposed to vote for anyone but Cheney. The media spin is strong with this one, as in most polls.

The commie media will NEVER admit that a Trump endorsement is a big deal, heck look at what happened in deep blue Maryland last night..the Trump endorsed candidate kicked the Hogan candidate’s rear end..but here, I think its just cause everyone knows that Cheney is a douche

Yesterday the primary in liberal Maryland selected President Trump's guy Cox for governor. The RINO candidate got clobbered. I believe 20 or 21 counties out of 24 voted for President Trump's guy.

After seeing the handwriting for President Trump's candidate in liberal Maryland, what does Cheney think will happen with her facing President Trump's choice in ultra-conservative Wyoming?

Considering nearly everyone now blocks polling calls, you wonder where they are getting their data.

Ironically, that is even worse news for Cheney. It looks like 70% plan to vote against Cheney anyway.

That looks like an oops poll that reveals a truth they were not anticipating.

In other words Trump voters think for themselves. Only the MSM would spin that as a bad thing.

Note that as a Casper resident I’m not buying the 30% figure either. No way there is that much support for Liz here.
