A Brazilian flight attendant working for United Airlines has posed as a late Atlanta boy for two decades, according to federal prosecutors.
49-year-old Ricardo Cesar Guedes is accused of stealing the identity of a late Atlanta boy, William Ericson Ladd, who died in an accident in 1979 in Washington state. Guedes used Ladd’s identity to apply for a US passport in 1998 and renew it six times through 2020, a federal complaint shows.
Guedes, a Sao Paulo native, then used the dead boy’s name to get a mortgage in Texas and got married. The complaint lists Guedes’ occupation as a flight attendant for United Airlines.

which federal agency exactly discovered the fraud? which federal agency prosecuted the fraud?
i believe that there might be a very tenuous connection if any between each state county (which records deaths) and the federal social security agency. imho one’s social security ID (a number) might tend to live on until a relative of the deceased (typically a spouse or descendant) sends notification to the agency; that then triggers the agency to consider the person associated with the SS ID deceased and inactivates the SS ID.
(i would be interested in an authoritative perspective of this process.)

15 years ago I needed some exterior work done on my home. The US born citizens who did the work and bid the job all complained that they were losing work to illegals who work for substantially less.
Now I see the US born citizens coming out, bidding the jobs but hire illegal subcontractors / crews. The US borns no longer do the work, their bids are not discounted to offset the cheap labor express.
Don’t kid yourself, the illegals are getting all sorts of welfare benefits on top of that their cheap labor express. Illegal kids and anchor babies go to school, and get free breakfast and lunches. Go to any hospital and hang out for a couple of hours, you’ll see it there too.

Sometimes people look at the surface economics of what illegals and ‘migrants’ contribute and mistake that for a bottom-line benefit.
They frequently ignore the built-in intrinsic cost to the taxpayer providing for them in the midst of overloading our schools, our public health facilities, drain on housing (often with Section 8 assistance), overloading our benefits systems, and supplemented with WICS and SNAP payouts, and nonpayment of their fair share of taxes and the like.
All for the benefit of getting your grass cut for $35 or hiring one for $10-15/hr to work in your yard..... No thanks.

I’ve been to Tijuana 100’s of times and I’ve never seen iguana on any menu in any restaraunt, nor have I seen it on any of the street food carts either.
I would not doubt though when one gets off the beaten track down there in Baja in out of the way little towns; there probably are some food joints which do serve iguana, probably locally hunted, killed and butchered too, maybe even road kill. LOL
If you ever go to San Diego, you might find it worth while to go down to Rosarito Beach which on the coast a little west of Tujuana. Rosarito Beach, at least 21 years ago (the last time I was there) had the best restaraunts in all of Baja. There was one the had little nooks carved into the cliffs for seating where you could look out over the Pacific. I used to get the Carna Asada Steak and Lobster tails dinner. A pound of Carna Asada and 2 Pacific lobster tails for 40 or 50 pesos or $8.00 American cash. The Margarits were like 7 or 8 Pesos something like a $1.50 American, it was amazingly good food and drinks for very cheap. Somehow I don’t think its quite the same today but still it would probably be worth a trip to check it out, if one is in San Diego. But, fair warning, don’t go south of the border after dark.
There is no, nor ever will be a study that delves into that because the sheep in this country would see what this drive for new Democrat voters really is.
Just think what the drain on SS/SSDI and SSI alone will be when these ‘hard working dreamers’ take their pittance pay-ins to SS and get credit for them and then completely destroy the entire system. And that’s just one aspect of it. They are a financial time bomb.
In 1995 I enrolled a 100 person sheet metal shop in their employee benefits. Lots of Hispanics. The “married” ones said their wives were on welfare and got their medical care from the State of California.
The HR lady did a Social Security audit and fired 10 people for having false IDs. 10%. She said their best employee told her he had a real Social Security number but it was over “there” collecting worker’s comp. He wanted to go get it to keep his job.
1995! They knew then how to scam our system. Imagine how much better they are at it now.
