My friend has been going through a rather prolonged bout with the virus. 13 days in the hospital, still recuperating at home now for the last 5 days. In our circle of friends and acquaints there are many opinions. I wrote this open rant to that circle in response to one kind of opinion that's raised it's perverse, ugly head.
OUR FRIEND.... Dave has, apparently, survived and is surviving his ordeal with the virus. At his age health can be fragile anyway just under normal circumstances. Many people are felled in their 80s just walking around and going about their daily lives without going through what he just went through and is still going through. That shows how strong his physical and mental constitution is and how good the man's genes are. I can't wait to welcome him back to our everyday lineup.
I am vaxxed 3 times now. I would take a fourth and a fifth if offered eventually. As I've said, I have nothing to lose with my current health conditions. I could be dead tonight from those alone. I believe in vaxes, although this one IS, undoubtedly, the most risky of all. I love science. I love book learnin'.
I love freedom more.
Dave chose not to be vaxxed. That was his right as a free man. I respect his choice. There is no one walking planet Earth who can definitively and scientifically say that if he had been vaxxed none of what is happening to him would not have happened to him. Statistics can be cited, studies can be pointed out but Dave, our friend, (....remember that) is not a statistic, he is not a weapon to be used to bolster one's point of view or used to score "political" points or used to forward a personal social or political agenda.
Now if he had been vaxxed the chances of him having a much less severe case of the virus may have been greatly enhanced.
NO ONE CAN SAY THAT WITH ABSOLUTELY CERTAINTY IN DAVE'S CASE.
Not Fauci, not Biden, not Harris, not you , not me....NO ONE. Would the odds be better if he had been vaxxed? I believe much more than likely. But Dave is not a set of odds. He is a real, live, thinking human being, a person,... and a friend of ours. He had every right to choose his path on this without being questioned or denigrated by anyone else for choosing it!
I find it warped and perverted that those who are most strident, most adamant about people taking the vax seem to enjoy it the most with glee when people who do not get vaxxed are fired, kicked out of school, banished from the public square, and they seem especially happy when that person falls ill to the virus. All one has to do is surf the many political forums online to see this sick phenomena. The real pandemic is the darkness and perversion in the hearts and souls of these types of people. There is only one side of the political spectrum that does this. THAT is a stone cold FACT.
Dave served his nation for 3 decades. From all accounts he has been an honorable man with his family and has done his duty as a man, father and grandfather. He doesn't owe anyone any explanation about his personal health choices. He doesn't owe anyone any explanation about anything.

I got covid three weeks ago and started getting better last week. I’m still recovering but this wasn’t any worse than some other flus I’ve had in my life. Totally overrated.
If we really lived in a free country anymore, people would be able to choose to take the vaccine or not, or wear a mask or not, and people wouldn’t be attacking each other poisonously depending on what they choose.
But we don’t live in a free country anymore.

Did your friend get tested at very first sign of symptoms?
Did he receive monoclonal antibodies at first sign of symptoms?
Did he have a doctor that would prescribe him hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin in advance of any infection?
Was he priming his immune system will at least 5000 I use of vitamin D, and additional vitamin C and zinc supplements before the infection?
Just asking because these three things in general will be as or more effective towards assuring a mild symptom outcome than very risky vaccines especially for someone his age. The vaccines are not vaccines they are only allowing for milder symptoms. I can speak to this from very personal experience with Covid myself along with my wife, and from friends who followed the same protocol before and at time of infection. One person also at 82 years of age.
If you really think getting Vaxxed is the one shot wonder to protect you from serious symptoms or death you are wrong.
If you were not aware of the degradation these vaccines have on your immune system, not to mention the known immediate adverse effects every time you get the shot or boosted you need to educate yourself.
Give him, fresh squeezed orange juice with juice of 1/2 a lemon and fresh grated ginger root, Quercetin, Zinc and heavy dose of vitamin D-3.
It works. None of that requires prescription and none of it is dangerous to take. No side effects.
I had 2 friends die from Covid in October. I know people for whom Covid was just a headache. I know people still suffering from heart issues due to Covid. Covid is a gamble.
If everyone (citizens, government, businesses) would take your approach, on all sides: “get it if you want it, leave alone those that don’t.” We’d be fine.
I’m unvaccinated with COVID antibodies. I don’t hate you because you think getting 4 Jabs might be a good idea. Just don’t tell me and my family what we need to do.

Considering vaxxed people can spread Covid, that doesn’t make sense unless you are just blaming the victim. I got Delta from a vaxxed person(my child).

LOL! Our resident DUmmy insists we all think about an unvaxxed person who gave the virus when there are far more people with the vaccine who can give the virus.
Leave me alone or suffer the consequences.
