Disagree. Why should we boycott when Hawley’s and Cruz’s own party are not? Every GOPer from dog catcher to Senator should be returning donations to these Quisling corporations. Every zoning permit for these corporations in GOP country should be in the round file. None of that is happening. Ted Cruz had no problem calling McConnell a “liar” when he was running for POTUS. It’s way past time for our elected so-called conservatives to directly engage the corrupt swamp GOP.

Sens. Cruz and Hawley acted according to their consciences, and their Oath of Office.

We’ll be getting a new cell phone and I guess, cell service too since we’re with AT&T. They own all the towers around here so I went with them hoping somehow the spotty reception here in hill country might be better but other people with better phones get a signal where we can’t so I guess the phone matters more than carrier. Verizon is on the list so it won’t be them.

It’s not so much their choice of stopping donations that bothers me, but their notion that challenging suspect electoral slates is “subversion”, “impeding the peaceful transfer of power”, etc. If it were just the donations, I’m not sure I would give a rat’s hind end. But the rhetoric makes some of them worth boycotting.
Let’s start with Marriott Hotels and Commerce Bank. The travel industry is in a pickle due to COVID, so Marriott is a weak point. Don’t stay in any Marriott hotels.
And close out all accounts at Commerce Bank. Deutsche Bank, too. Boycotting a bank sends notice that we’re willing to stress the financial system itself to fight back.
