Last week's CNN poll showed a tightening race. The poll did not over-sample Democrats as bad as previous polls. The poll did not under-sample Republicans as bad as previous polls. In short, the sample size almost reflected the turnout ratios of Republican, Democrats and Independent voters. So why the sudden accuracy?
Could the current poll be manipulated to give the appearance of a larger post-convention poll bounce when they announce the first CNN poll after the convention?
They will use the relative poll numbers to parade headlines such as:
- Huge Convention Poll Bounce for Biden - CNN poll shows big spike in support for Biden
- Poll Shows Voters Flock to Biden After Convention
- Etc.
CNN's next poll will swing back to their old ratio of Democrats, Republicans and independent voters. Because of the over-sampling and under-sampling, Biden's numbers will go back to +10 and they will declare the convention a success. SEE THE DATA.......

The low ratings will put to question any kind of convention bounce. Not believable at this point.

Well then, there’s just no point in my voting.
Since I live in MA, that’s true anyway, unfortunately.

Yesterday Rasmussen showed Trump at 47% and today he jumped to 51%. Is it a coincident that Obama spoke last night?
To: wrrock
This is CNN.
I’m surprised there’s any data to even scrutinize.
I’d have figured they’d have just started on their poll graphics right after the meeting where they decided how much of a poll bounce they wanted for that day.
Maybe I’m just thinking of MSNBC

People are voting with their channel remotes by changing channels.

Dont forget to vote even if you think it wont matter. I dont want to listen to four more years of we won the popular vote. That wont happen if everyone votes.

This sounds like “Ice-Nine” for hydrogen.
Except the article didn’t say that the metallic state was contagious for crystallization at low pressures, once achieved.
To: wrrock
Yes and many of us have said this for weeks. Did not take any special insight to see it and look for the “bounce” next week.

If Joseph Hairsniffer & Caramel Anchorbaby don’t see a bounce from the Billy Porter-Stephen Stills Revue, then there is no justice in the world!

Anyone who measures a convention bounce off of this is clearly manipulating the data.
To: MichaelRDanger
That would certainly be a coincidence, since it’s not like they do overnight polling!!

I think the Trump "enthusiasm gap" was evident in every Republican primary where people turned out to vote for President Trump in more numbers than all the Democrats primary contenders combined, even though the President was running essentially unopposed.

they can still put out a big upswing for Biden, but instead of calling it a convention bounce, call it a postal service hearing bounce.
