I started to watch the race last Sunday but had to turn it off. Too much politics. I just want to be entertained. I do not want to be lectured to. Glad to see others here with the same opinion.

F@ggots belong in mental institutions. They should not be “embraced” by society. They are sick.

Isn’t celebrating Gay Pride Month marginalizing the suffering and oppression of Black people??

Did you guys see the BLM suck-up act at the Sun NASCAR race?

One driver even had a “I Cant Breath” t-shirt. the protestors support was apparently driven by Jimmy Johnson (48) - at least as stated by ESPN.

Well, NASCAR is done. What’s left, bowling?

NASCAR has already seen a significant drop in attendance in recent years, and going woke won't bring in any new fans, but will drive more away.

The lefties they are trying to appeal to view auto racing as a symbol of reckless anti-environmentalism and wastefulness, and they won't become fans no matter what.

NASCAR have been proving the ‘3rd Generation’ rule for some time now ie the grandchildren of the founder are making an unholy mess of their heirloom.

But this latest virtue signal is a good opportunity to point out that NASCAR and all the major sports leagues have learned nothing - or worse than nothing - from the Covid lockdown.

The leagues are vacillating between ‘our fans will never come back’ and ‘our fans will come back no matter what’ when it suits them. They don’t seem to understand the basics of behavioral conditioning as in the removal of the stimulus (games, races, coverage) is weakening or eliminating the response (fan interest, loyalty and repeat business).

Local events like concerts, fairs, festivals are being cancelled willy-nilly using the kind of fearmongering that was already disproven by facts by the end of March. The organizers blithely assume that attendance (including advance sale tickets) in 2021 won’t miss a beat.

The injection of politics into sports has reached levels that the USSR could only dream of. The self-regard of leagues, athletes and coaches will decline only when their revenues do but that threshold is MUCH closer than they seem to realize.

What channel is bowling on? I can’t watch anything anymore. I loved racing! Grew up in Indy, went to the 500 every year. Modern gladiators risking life and limb for immortality. Nascar is way beyond over now. A fan for 40 years, sent my final note to them that I know when I’m no longer wanted. Sitefeedback@nascar.com BYE

Just as they are making a post-covid comeback. Virtue signalers lose fans. Just ask the NFL.

Yep, they tried to expand their ‘base’ , instead the doofuses lost their base...

Jimmy Spencer was always one of my favs - used to kid my sister that he drove with a tall-boy beer between his legs!

I have a slogan for that;

“Celebrate NASCAR pride where everybody gets to sit on the pole.”

I never cared for NASCAR.

Much ado about nothing.

The spouse enjoys the round and round.

I used to be a fan but haven’t been terribly interested in a while.
I used to work at the Pocono races. The last couple years I did work a race (2013,14) I scanned tickets at the gate. The majority of tickets were corporate or military, that is comp tickets the holder didn’t pay for. Comparatively few had a person’s name printed on them signifying purchased by an individual fan.

I gotta admit, out of all the companies to start embracing “Pride Month” I never thought Nascar would sell out too.

Progressive corportists have near total control now of the corporate world. Their goal is to privatize profit and socialize losses.

Another once-popular American blue-collar sport that has caved to anti-American leftists and by doing so, alienated it’s already-shrinking base.

There was no reason for NASCAR to get involved with the gay pride propaganda knowing that it’s ‘market’ is not gays.

I’m sure the leftists that hate the middle class are laughing at how easy it was to co-op what was once a popular middle class sport.
