During an interview Sunday on ABC's "This Week," presidential candidate Joe Biden said that he would follow the CDC's new recommendation to wear a mask when in public and urged President Trump to do the same.
"I think it’s important to follow the science. Listen to the experts. Do what they tell you," Biden said.
"I don't think I'm going to be doing it," President Trump said Friday. "Wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens; I just don't see it."
"He may not like how he looks in a mask, but the truth of the matter is that, follow the science. That’s what they’re telling us," Biden said Sunday.

I keep hearing this follow the science bullshit. Can anybody kindly point me to any time in human history when Sciences have it exactly right? For that matter, About eight weeks ago the science was saying it doesn’t spread from people to other people, and we have nothing to worry about.

Trump was extolling the possibilities of hydroxychloroquine, while the “experts” were saying “NOOOO!”, it’s unproven. Dr. “DOOM” Fauci doesn’t seem to like any cure or positive news.
As opposed to what he has done? Trump shut down the greatest economy in History and the country is under house arrest because he “listened to the scientists”. I’d say he did it Joe, would’t you?

At the end of this pandemic, will the combined flu + COVID-19 numbers be any different (better, worse, same?) from the flu numbers from other years?

Most scientist not employed by government and who were familiar with virology were skeptical given the news coming from Wuhan, but by then it was too late.

That’s NOT leadership Joe. That’s being a lemming. It’s horrific to think that is all you would do as POTUS.
What is lacking is an economic model that can estimate the damage from the lock-down that will likely translate to deaths due to a depression. Then intersect this with the medical model. Once the economic model becomes worse than the medical one it’ll be impossible to justify the lock-down. Even if the economic model is projecting to being higher, don’t wait for it if we can see it’s going to happen.
...I’ve no idea if something like this is being done.
