North Korea’s state media criticized U.S. Democrats and American intelligence officials on Sunday for “chilling the atmosphere” ahead of leader Kim Jong Un’s second summit with President Donald Trump this week.
After weeks of silence about the summit in Vietnam, North Korea’s state news agency KCNA on Sunday announced Kim’s departure by train, en route to talks in which the two leaders aim to build on a commitment to rid the Korean peninsula of nuclear weapons, reached at their first meeting in Singapore in June.
KCNA later issued a commentary arguing that if Trump listened to skeptics at home, he could face a “shattered dream” and “miss the rare historic opportunity” to improve relations with North Korea.
“The Democratic Party of the U.S. and other opponents to the negotiations move overtly and covertly to disrupt them as supported by scepticism backed by all sorts of groundless stories and misinformation even at such a crucial moment as now,” said the commentary, which was released under the name Jong Hyon.
Trump’s opponents would bear the responsibility if the summit failed to achieve results, which would leave the U.S. people exposed to “security threats”, it said.

The norks have better insights into our internal politics than our own press. And they’re more open about it too.
Trump is accomplishing what every administration since at least 1953 wishes it could accomplish — peace on the Korean peninsula — yet the reaction from most of our political class is “meh”.
Our best hope in the near-term is to make North Korea more like Vietnam — and get them to ally with the South as a buffer against the hegemonist Chinese.
The Rats always loved war. For arguments sake, lets look at most American wars: WWI,WWII,Korea,Vietnam were predominately Democrats in charge. Furthermore, their appeasement of those enemies who want to destroy America is so apparent and a NK and Iran countered makes the left furious.
Its a damn shame that our sorry excuse for a media would druther see North Korea nuke the South just to make Trump look bad but at the same time the Mullies of Iran are such great and honest people Mr Trump is doing one hell of a good job hes trying his best to fix a problem that has been kicked down the road for a very long time our President I believe is trying to sell Kim Jong un the benifits of bring his people into the 21 century North Korea has lots of minerals and other goods to trade that in return would improve the quality of life for his people and at the same time it would make Kim more powerful amongst his people because they would credit him for the improvements in there lives he’s got a lot to gain if he listens to our President and I think he relizes this if Kim can except peace he would be making a wise decision but no matter how much progress our President makes all we will hear is how Trump once again bowed to a tyrant.I wish our media would go strait to hell or anywhere but here
