Back when the terror attacks occurred, the French authorities had to admit that they simply didn’t have an adequate number of police, so the military was drafted to fill in. At the time, French people were very accepting of this, and felt ‘safer’. Course, they didn’t anticipate that the same military would be called upon to face off regular French people.
