CLEVELAND, Ohio -- LeBron James agreed to a four-year, $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, ending his second run as the face of his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James, born in Akron and drafted No. 1 by the Cavs in 2003, is leaving the Cavs for the second time in eight seasons. But this time, it's two-years removed from bringing the organization its first title.
James' agreement with the Lakers was announced through a simple press release sent by his agent, Rich Paul, which says James, a 14-time All-Star, three-time Finals MVP, and two-time Olympic gold medalist, was joining the Lakers.

Don't remember either of these two using filthy mouths in front of crowds including children, and neither of them have shown their contempt for our president. Good bye to this high school graduate who plays really good basketball. The way this city worshiped him was disgusting.
Well, goodbye, hopefully for good this time. He really was quite great( although I’m baseball, not basketball), until the last year or so where he became a little whiney. And I didn’t care that he was “ with her”, but he didn’t need to Crap so much on Trump supporters. I have noticed lately too, through photos, that it seems an overwhelming number of the recipients of his charities are, shall we say, not white. And I live near and still work in Akron, and there are plenty of needy white kids. Just an observation. It’s his money.
He had a lot of money at an early age and held it together in a culture that promotes the opposite. Good for him, really.
But he’ll be happier in a blue state, now that he’s political, and those of us in red state Ohio will be happier. Lots of Trump hate in L.A. He’ll fit right in.
How will he avoid the massive CA taxes?

I’m from just outside of Cleveland. The Cavs winning a championship was fun. That said LeBron is a leftist punk. I went after him on Twitter. The Cavs owner donated a lot of money to Trump’s inauguration celebration, James hated him for that alone. Buh bye LeBron
