This was the story of Kara Hultgreen, the Navy pilot who died in a 1994 F-14 crash. Investigation showed that Hultgreen had been allowed to proceed in her training after errors that would have meant a washout for any male pilot.
*******************************************|*********
The INCOMPETENT PILOT JOHN MCCAIN was not washed out. Perhaps the fact that his father and grandfather were admirals had something to do with it.

The same was not true of the McCain collision. I think they blamed it on an 18 year old who did not know how to work the equipment properly.

I don’t buy the gender angle. Too many incompetent Naval mishaps. Gender has no relevance except maybe in how the defense is handled and how these are buried.

Woman Onboard a Ship Will Bring Bad Luck.

“Looking for comfort at sea, sailors have a long standing tradition of being superstitious. One of these traditions is that having a woman on the ship will bring bad luck to the ship and it’s voyage. One article stated, that sailors once believed that having a woman on board a ship would anger the gods of the sea. This would bring about violent waves and disastrous weather conditions. It is believed that in rare cases, woman were sometimes thrown from the ship to seek the forgiveness of the gods.”

This is not the fault of the women.

It’s the fault of those who put these incompetent women in these positions.

All in the name of “diversity”

“She handled the aftermath of the accident remotely, without lifting a finger herself!”

Maybe she thought that printing new hatches would do the trick?

The problem is not the fact she is female. The problem is standards of performance have been lowered for females. IT IS JUST THAT DAMN SIMPLE AND A REALITY THAT IS A CAREER KILLER FOR OFFICERS THAT OBJECT.

I have zero problems with a female fighter pilot as it does not take great upper body strength to to be a fighter pilot. If she can meet the same standards, give her an F-16, A-10, F-15 etc and send her out to kill.

ps
My son was a combat medic in Iraq for two tours of duty. He is also a weight lifter. His unit loved him because they knew he could carry their wounded ass off the battlefield. They protected him as they knew if it all turned to shit he was the one that would save their ass. He did not carry a rifle but only his Barreta side arm. If things went bad their would be weapons laying around. Thankfully and by grace of god this never happened to him. He was in fire fights but the other guys were doing the fighting. They did not want him hurt. Oddly all loses in his unit were due to IEDs.

He lost his Sergent to an IED. That hurt him a lot. More than most can understand. His Sergent was his brother in arms. He packed his wounds and stopped external bleeding and was dusted off. His sarge died of internal bleeding that Chris could not have stopped. He had survivors guilt. He was supposed to save him but could not.

Oddly when he was home on leave his was most happy to be home but at the same time wanted to go back. When he was not with his unit he was concerned that he would not be there if “HIS GUYS” needed him.

He was a warrior and is a most superior man for his combat. He came home a damn mess. The VA helped him and I am most grateful for them. Today he will speak to me about combat in generalities with few specifics.

Now he is a registered nurse and one year from finishing his Nurse Practitioners License. Oddly this man of combat only wants to help people today.

“It is not necessary to believe that (a) women shouldn’t be fighter pilots, in order to believe (b) lowering standards for the sake of quotas is a bad idea. Of course, you may believe both (a) and (b), but it is (b) that gets people killed.”

You can’t integrate women into the force without lowering standards, because they can’t do the job. There are elements of the job that women don’t even know exist.

It wasn’t long ago that people weren’t judged by what’s between their legs, but rather if they had HALF A BRAIN.

The OOD was named Sarah, and the Tactical Action Officer was named Natalie, and they weren’t speaking to each other!!! The Tactical Action Officer would normally be in near constant communication with the OOD, but there is no record of any communication between them that entire shift!

Wondering if they had some kind of tiff?

I remembering reading about a female skipper of an Arleigh Burke class destroyer was fired because the ship made some unsafe movement while a helicopter was landing. People on the helicopter were killed. That is 0bama’s navy. What the hell, diversity is goal number one.
