Here’s a shocker. Leftists aren’t all too crazy about riders of the Trump train. Progressive types are known for denying MAGA people real estate transactions. Banning them from their concerts. Attempting to crater their skulls with 2x4s.
Then there’s this. A writer over at salon is recommending you shun all of your Trump-loving friends and family until they repent. Yeah, for reals:
"If you have friends or relatives who support Donald Trump you should confront them. Explain to them that they are complicit with Trump’s cruelty and sadism. Then communicate that you will no longer speak with them, nor will you offer them emotional, financial or other types of support until they denounce Donald Trump and what he represents — and make amends through speech and action. This will not be easy. Doing what is right rarely is. But it is necessary.
Some will protest, saying that you can’t know what is in a person’s heart based on who they vote for. This is untrue. Voting and other types of political behavior are in many ways actions which are based more on emotion than they are reason. As such, a vote for Trump and continued support for him is a clear signal to a person’s deep and sincerely held values and beliefs."
Well, leftism is starting to sound a lot less like a political philosophy and more like a shady cult.
Yes, leftists must shun the “non-believers.” At least until they turn away from their devilish ways and follow the true path. Until they trade their MAGA hats for Che Guevara t-shirts. Replace their stars-and-stripes bumper sticker with a “Coexist” one. Increase their soy intake tenfold.
This is the emerging world of the left, where merely having a different opinion is grounds for the cold shoulder. Even if the opinion-haver is a blood relative.

No I have noticed that leftists no longer have co-exist stickers on their bumpers.
I have a relative in her 20’s. She always seemed nice and normal until she and her husband moved to Seattle.
Seattle has changed her and not for the better. She and I had words on the night of the election after she melted down. She was spouting that “Love Trumps Hate” bull and I reminded her of the violence against Trump supporters by the left. Naturally, she denied it.
We eventually called a truce and are still Facebook friends but we haven’t spoken since that night. I have noticed that the only people who like her posts are her Seattle Leftist friends. I think she has succeeded in pissing off most of her relatives and friends in Alabama, except her mother and brother.
She has been a bad influence on her brother. After Trump’s victory, he posted very vulgar and vile posts about Trump. I muted him on Facebook and really don’t care if I ever see or speak with him. The only reason that I keep either one of them on my Facebook is for the sake of their Grandmother (My Aunt). Otherwise, both would be unfriended and blocked.
I mean no offense to Seattle freepers but I curse the day she moved up there. I’ve never seen anyone change so much.
Well too late for lefties around me to shun me; I already got rid of them. Have one insane lefty cousin left on fb...I unfriended him for pulling this crap on my fb after all my conservative family and friends had him for breakfast. He apologized to me and promised to stay away from politics if I would friend him again. So he is it, have not seen him in person in 20 years so if I have to unfriend him again so be it.
Had one politically “moderate” son in law, was more of a RINO...he is now so conservative he is considered as radical as hubby and I according to my daughter.

Anyone who agrees with this Salon writer should be put in an asylum for safe keeping until they can be banished from these United States permanently and forever. I don’t care where they go; just that they go and never return.
I do suggest the Middle East, South Africa, and Venezuela as good destination places for them though.

I have shunned 90% of my inlaws for the past 9 years. They have shunned me since I wore my Sara Palin T-shirt to the annual summer picnic attended by 110 of the CT-commie aholes.
