Balderdash. When talking about men and women on the same competitive level, women simply can’t outcompete men in physical sports.
That is the entire reason we have separate leagues for women (which are legally compulsory in student athletics). If we only had unisex leagues, then women would not get a chance to compete at all.
Welcome to the new normal.
Sounds like they should just make all school sports “open” and anyone of any gender can compete, just base on age.
Then in a few years, the girls will sue for having equal opportunity, and they’ll split off again, and this whole issue will have to be decided again.
It looks like Title 9 is turning into a snake eating its tail.
Parents are starting a petition. You have to realize that the left can NEVER permit reason to prevail. They HAVE TO force us to accept “transgender” horse$hit. The petition will fail. Even if 100% of the parents sign it. Normal will lose, as it always does.
Note the inane “reasoning” of one of the participants:
“If she identifies as a girl then I think she should be able to run in the race because she can use the ladies room, she can wear a skirt, why not run and stay active?”
It’s a given. Insanity has prevailed.
There is no such thing as transgender. You cannot change your sex. Gender is not the word to use. It’s sex. There are two. It is impossible to go from one to another.
So putting twisted men on women’s teams and pretending their women will effectively discourage women from participating in sports? Which group is going to trigger and protest? It’s funny to watch liberals get tangled up in the spokes of reality.
This is what will kill women’s sports.
Natural-born woman will be crushed by “trans” woman in sport after sport.
Eventually, they could get into boxing, and kill someone.

If they choose to be trannies, they compete with their genetic sex or they don’t compete. There is a limit to facilitating insanity.

Several years back my U14 B division hockey team played the girls Tier 1 U16 hockey team. The only rule was no checking. The girls destroyed my team 8-2. The coach was so impressed with his girls that he asked me if we can play the next game with checking as part of their entry into a boys tournament.
I said, “why not?” The next weekend we played. One thing I told my players not to do was hit with the intention to hurt and if any player goes out of their way to hurt another player, they will be thrown out of our programs. I spoke with the parents and they were ok with it.
In the middle of the second period, we were up 12-0. Their team couldn’t get the puck out of their own zone. Before the third period began I asked the team what did they learn from the earlier defeat. Their response was a team that moves the puck well will win. No crap! In the third period we stopped checking and just work on passing the puck. They put a couple in on us, but so did we.
For my team it was lesson learned. For the girls team it was, play against girls because against boys because you will not be able to compete at the same level.
This is a win win sticking it in the eyes of the progressives.
1. They want girls allowed in Boy Scouts and women in Men’s clubs. I’d say this is tit for tat.
2. They push the gay and transgender issues on us constantly. Again. This is what they asked for.
3. Wine about equal pay, women’s rights, blah blah blah. Here’s some equality. If they are equal to men in every respect, they should compete equally.
Even though as a conservative, sane woman, I know that most men are stronger physically then women and think sports should be separate.
Just because they think they are a woman, doesn’t mean they are.
