I overloaded mine with videos and a blue screen came up with ‘Bit Locker”.

I called Dell computer and they walked me through it.

Hint: To get a new screen try hitting F2 key repeatedly until it changes.

Does pc have Ethernet port? If so try using cable directly to internet router.

Try Windows 7. No, that’s not sarcasm. 10 is for losers. I’ll wait for 11 or 12 or maybe 13. I’m too stupid to learn Linux. I tried 10 on 3 different computers. Went back to 7. No problemo.

Yes - sometimes removing the battery and hitting the power button will reset the CMOS (or something).. I’ve had to do that a few times myself.

Could be a driver or bios problem. First make sure bios is current then try to see if there is a newer driver. Back up any important data first. :(

I had the exact-same problem, then did what always seems to work:

Press the power key until it shuts off—wait—then press the power key again.

WIN 10 totally sucks - screwing up my life with office products WORD and Excel - it’s subscription interaction is a total FU with constantly getting Needs Repair” error messages and then just wiping out your file without saving and losing everything. Bill Gates and family and foundation - super ripoff agents...elites above reproach somewhere on a mountain top above the fray and the trash below and all us pinons forced to use their garbage!

... agree with #17 - install a linux version (Ubantu is an excellent choice - can be made to look almost exactly like Windoze). Most are free or around $100 USD. Significant applications like M$ Office have Linux versions or similar offerings. Many of those are also free.

Always worth a try—take the battery out of the machine.

Then put it back in and power up—see if that helps...

Sounds like it upgraded itself and there was a glitch - should have taken care of itself - try a hard reboot - if it hangs again, try a hard reboot and try safe mode (if safe mode is even available now).
