A Garant is just like a Garand only you got a head cold.

The gun you should not sell is the one you’ll be kicking yourself for the rest of your life because you sold it.

Example: Walther PPK bought from WWII vet for 105.00 in 1971. Later sold because I needed rent money. Should have slept on the street instead.

Last sold a gun in 1992. Then Clinton won the Dem nomination. Used the money to buy an AK Legend & ammo.

Bought a new Walther PPK in 1992. It would stove pipe about every 3 rounds. Took it in for service multiple times to several different gunsmiths but no avail who did their best to solve the problem. It didn’t matter if I was shooting junk ammo or the best, always the same result. Finally traded it in for a new Beretta 84F with double the capacity and was dead on, balls accurate out of the box and it was $50 cheaper than the Walther.

The most priceless weapon is the one you have in your hands when the chips are down.

Garants are very rare. Few people have ever heard of them before this article was published.

They're as rare as 1963 Pontiac GTOs.

And it works underneath overpasses.

Mostly, I sell anything that turns into a “collector gun”. My guns are tools. I shoot them (a lot!). I intend for them to be used for hunting or for self-defense. If someone wants a pretty gun or a historic gun for his wall, I’m happy to sell.

I do have a couple of exceptions. I have an old 1911 that I would never sell because it shoots perfectly. The collectors who want it cannot have it. I also have an old Colt revolver that I would never sell. Again, I cannot find anything comparable in terms of comfort and instant accuracy. When I raise the Colt it’s on target, and when I pull the trigger it hits where I aimed (if my grip is firm enough to suppress the recoil). A gun that does its job perfectly is priceless.

Don’t know about the FM Browning, but the AM Browning gets more talk radio stations. Better range after dark though.

I hear you. Had to let go of my four revolvers, because that’s what the shop wanted..not semi-autos. Who figured.

The rest are staying put!

the pricing book says its value was about $320 depending on condition.

The truest thing one can say about pricing books on guns is they are obsolete the moment they are sent to the publisher.
